  • Bugger i thought this was today

eBay must've run out of 15% site wide codes from June. What happened to 15% off site wide in Sept?

    • +1

Where is 15% ? Haven't seen it lately.

      • +2

I'm trying to find it too

      • +17

The last 3 years on September 15% sales off all happened in the middle or at the end of September. We're currently only at the beginning of September. So as always when looking out for a bargain, you need to be the most marginal customer - as they say in economics: "all the interesting stuff happens at the margins". That means: be patient, and be prepared to walk away if it does not happen; yet be nimble and don't dawdle and be ready to strike like a mofo-ing tiger if and when it does happen.

        • +8

Or get too greedy and end up with no discounts cos 10% finish and 15% didnt come

        • +2

@suicine94: You can always get 10% off, only suckers pay retail

    • +2

If you win the auction, yes I think it does from memory.

      • +1

I got something by "Best offer" and the code applies

        • I have 2 items "buy now" in cart and one best offer, can I apply that in one or will that become 2 transactions.

        • @Inflow: Sorry I have no clue. Try a search through old ebay deals and that might help

        • @1Cawk: all good.

        • @Inflow:

If it's all on the same payment screen then it's one transaction.

    • I had the paint code too.

    • So it's a good deal?

      • Sure, good deal if you want any of those games.

Did you know if you use the word Amazon on eBay forums your post would get deleted?

    • When are they launching? Are sellers nervous?

      • I sell on both Amazon and eBay and I would say it would be more beneficial to sellers and worse for the higher ups at eBay.

    • +2

Not quite. What happens is, there's a built in filter like a swear filter. If you type Amazon it will turn up as ******.

    • +1

Built in filter, remember when trying to sell somwething expensive for pickup to get around fees would try and send a mobile that would get flagged and wouldnt send the message.

    • +2

Yep you can apply the code at payment screen at checkout for best offers or regular bid auctions that you win. As long as whatever you are buying isn't in one of these categories which are excluded:

Bullion (178078), Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730), Other Lots More Items (88433) and Gift Cards (172,009).

As always you need an Australian registered Paypal account and your eBay account email should match your Paypal account email or the code may not apply.
