What should I do if I receive a "This code can't be applied to your order." error when attempting to use a coupon code?

This error can stem from a range of issues, if the coupon genuinely does not apply to the item then you will receive the error (an excluded item in the promotion as set out by the terms and conditions). If you know that the coupon can apply to the item but you are not able to apply the coupon on your account then it will be due to an issue with the creation of the eBay account. To apply the coupon, you can do 2 steps:

1. Complete the purchase as a guest without creating an account.

2. Contact eBay Live Chat and request a review of your account and ask the representative to transfer the properties to be an eBay.com.au eBay account as the account may have been made in a different region originally and can't be used for some purchases.

Can I stack the main coupon with another code or eBay voucher?

No

BUT, can I stack an eBay Gift Card (not a discount code or voucher), on top of a coupon code or eBay voucher?

Yes, according to eBay Gift Cards' terms and conditions and its relevant FAQ section:

No more than a total of $1,500 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per transaction, no more than a total of $2,000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per day, and no more than a total of $5,000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per calendar month. Further, you may only redeem a maximum of eight Gift Cards in any single transaction (and fewer if you are redeeming Gift Cards in combination with other redemption codes, such as coupons or vouchers).

You can spend more than one gift card at a time, or use a gift card on top of a voucher or discount offer. At checkout, put in one code at a time in the Add vouchers, gift cards section and select Apply after each one to update your order total. You can use up to 8 codes per transaction.

Can I use my The Good Guys Store Credit on eBay?

No.

Can I use my Groupon $85 for $100 value with the other code?

No.

Can I use my Harvey Norman gift cards on the Harvey Norman eBay store?

No.

Can you search for me some deals on phone x or item y?

You can search for what you are looking easily. Click 'go to deal' and scroll down to the search box to search items from participating sellers only. Other users will NOT do searches for you when you can easily do it yourself.

How come the discount doesn't seem to be applied to my payment?

Go to PayPal, find the transaction and click details. You will see a % contribution from the coupon courtesy of eBay plus your actual charge to your funding source which makes up the difference. The total needs be 100% because the seller gets 100%. eBay just pays the discount and you pay the rest. 1)

Will someone be able to give me their "unwanted" $50 or $20 Paypal voucher (the one with no minimum spend) or unique targeted coupons?

No

Will any retailer pricematch outside of eBay?

Retailers have different price matching policies, however generally no store will match an ebay listing price after a coupon code.

Any bargains or pricejacking?

Retailers often increase their prices due to eBay allegedly only covering part of the % of discount, this amount is reported to vary. Considering that retailers may also pay a final value & Paypal payment fee on top of funding part of the discount code, it is therefore not surprising that they raise prices accordingly.
