      .. and the price-jacking …

      • Why is this getting down votes? We all know he is right.
        One up-vote for you sir.

        • Probably because of the lack of thought in the response - one that's just seeing the word eBay and reflexively sprouting "price-jacking". Yes some stores may jack up their prices but this deal covers every single item in the Alcohol category (179,836 items!) - there will definitely be many prices that don't get raised and there will almost definitely be some good deals to be found.

Obligatory "Dang I brought $100 worth of booze on eBay just yesterday" post.

      • +2

I actually did. Win some lose some I guess. Time to drown my sorrows in pepperjack and jerky

        • Claim on your Coles/28deg card price protection. They accept claims for eBay vouchers. (Unless you didn't use it to pay for some reason?)

  • This has ethanol.

Stop it, please. I've already got so much booze because of all the Woolies deals that have to be topped off with alcohol to make the cut.

Good. Just woke up and feel like a beer.

      Cricketers arms are waiting

      • Have you found a way to combine this with the Cricketers Arms deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/317629)? I can't figure out a way, so please share if you did!

        • If you buy from ebay it will come down to the price you are buying at from website. Plus you will have to buy more to reach the minimum coupon requirement. Link to the product on ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/302267463187

        • @Jimmy007: Thanks for that.

It doesn't look like it'll work for the $10/6-pack deal linked to in my previous comment as that's only at BWS. Still, works out to the same price now from Dan's using your link and the CORKAGE code, or $80 for 2x cartons.

        Hi TA,

Not sure if this is the right place but just wanted to know when Cashrewards will be increasing there AliExpress cash back to like say 10%?

        Cheers.

Lagavulin 16yo for $109 shipped is a pretty decent price:

      It's usually $115-$130 I think

      • +1

        Do you actually like it?

I bought a bottle when it was on sale for DM members and didn't really enjoy it….

        • It is one of the world's great whiskys

        • +1

Do you generally enjoy Peaty Single Malts generally?

I quite like it but usually just go for Ardbeg 10yo as it's cheaper.

Very tempted though, not sure wifey would be impressed and I'm already an alcoholic due to homebrew cider…

      • +2

$109 is not a good price for Lagavulin.

        Some recent deals here:-
        $80 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/315688
        $80 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/298151
        $90 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/287198

        • +6

          $109 - $30 = $79

Of the deals you posted, one is for 8yo (not 16yo), one is more expensive and one is actually a great deal but had a $20 discount and isn't shipped for that price so I still think 16yo for $79 shipped is a pretty good deal.

        • +2

@chiefbodge: Yes, good deal. Thought the $109 was after discount.

Can combine with Bose Soundlink Mini II deal?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/315851

    • Can't see why not. Dan's will email you a tax receipt after you order that shows the full price.

      • I got some Penfolds and a Stag and my claim was just approved :)

      I just got 6 Peppejack shiraz 2015:

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pepperjack-Shiraz-case-of-6-Dry-R…

For $77.40 click and collect and will be claiming the bose speaker. (hopefully)

      • Yep Ive grabbed a few 6 packs of Pepperjack also - works out to be under $13 a bottle

      • Bose claim submitted and already apporved. I just uploaded a screenshot of Dan Murphy's tax invoice email.

        YOUR CLAIM
        IS VALID AND PROCESSED.

        Hi,

Your receipt has now been validated and payment processed for your Bose SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® Speaker II.

  • Dan's don't do Click and Collect to some stores :( .E.g Any Mackay stores

    • My bad…something's wrong with my account. When I log out, it allows click n collect. Weird…I'll sort it

      • i had to use firefox

    • Did you get a resolution to this as I'm having the same issue for Townsville.

      • I haven't ordered yet (they are out of Bundy red). I just started an new INGOGNITO Window (where I am not logged into Ebay) and it gave me the option to click n collect. I suppose I could then log in and proceed to checkout

        • +1

Ok…I got it to work. This is what I had to do:
Clear my browsing data (cookies etc.) https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?co=GENIE.Pl…

When I went to the eBay checkout, it STILL didn't like my home address (even though I had selected Click n Collect). I had to create a fake address in Brisbane with postcode 4000. I don't think it liked my postcode of 4740.

          Weird…but it worked

      • I create a fake Brisbane address on my eBay account then select my local store.

    Whisky Bargains!!!!

  • Postage cost $20, reduce $30, so you save $10 overall, not bad :)

    • +1

      Click N collect!

    • It's $7 postage at Dan murphys for any amount. And the total price includes postage so you just need to order $93.

  • Johnnie Walker Gold Label + Black Label (~750ml each) for $90 both, good deal?

    • +1

      That's a good deal. They're usually $65-70 + $38-$40.

      • Thanks, ordering for a friend who drinks :-)

  • With click and collect orders, can you pick up straight away?

    • +1

Takes a few hours at my local but if you go in and show them the order they will prepare it for you.

      • +1

I have done a click n collect once where I just went and found the rum on the shelf and showed the lady at the checkout.

        • did you need to wait for the email from DM or is ebay receipt enough?

  • +2

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey 700mL ($39.95 each on Dan Murphy's page, same on their ebay) isn't to bad (prefer Wild Turkey version) but at 3 bottles for AU $96.85 delivered I'm in. (6 bottles of Honey in 2 days due to deals.. I might have a drinking problem.. or just an ozbargainer)

  • +2

win win .. 4 bottles of Ruskov vodka from Dan Murphys on ebay for $81.96 — that's $20.49 per bottle.. If you want a decent Vodka at rock bottom price Ruskov isn't bad. I reckon it on par with Smirnoff.

    • Not bad at all, I may need to go back for seconds lol.

    • Reviews suggest the vodka is rubbish.. Are they being picky?

      • I prefer vodka o tbh I got 3 bottles for $70

  • Bowmore tempest at $94.99 + $7 postage - $30 = $71.99 delivered is a good deal!

  • I don't know. I'm inclined to buy a bunch of bottles so I can have a little stash I can use to create mixed drinks for when friends come over, because this is an unbelievable discount.. but I sorta tried that last time and just ended up drinking them all myself, so I'm thinking maybe not

  • +2

Thanks TA, stop TA from posting Pffft … where would we be without your deals? Thanks! purchased 2 cases of the 94pt reds @ $7.50/ bottle … how bad can it be ? at $7.50 a bottle I can afford to take it to friends we don't like:) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/317665

  • any recommendation for penfolds? (dont know much about wine)

i need something decent for my boss ($50ish a bottle) and something decent for myself ($15-30 ish per bottle)

  • 3 bottles of Monkey shoulder for $104.
    Bargain!! Thanks TA

Got 2x blocks of VB for $75, and 8x home brew cans for $78. Good deal!

    • That's a lot of home brew dude!

  • Thanks TA. I picked up a Kavalan, plus some piccolo sparkling and light beer for the work social club.

    • When I picked up the Kavalan, I noticed it was 10% cheaper in store and on the DM website. I asked them about it, and they said it's standard practice for their eBay prices to be higher to allow for eBay fees.

  • Has anyone tried the pale ale at Gami Korean fried chicken restaurant? I really like it cause it's light and has a fruity taste. Can anyone recommend me something similar? Apparently it's their own brew so it's not available in stores!

    • Helps if you say which pale ale it happens to be!

      • It's called GUN:BAE by Thunder Road Brewing Company I think.

    • I haven't tried it, but it will almost certainly be an American style Pale Ale with that description.
Common brands in that sort of direction are Little Creatures Pale Ale, Atomic Pale Ale, Fat Yak, Sierra Nevada, James Squire Hop Thief.
There is a front page deal for a $10 6-pack of cricketers arms pale ale, which is similar, maybe not quite as fruity as some of the others above. Cheap to try, and then you can say "Like Cricketers Arms pale ale but more fruity etc." to help narrow down what you like.

      • Thunder Road Brewery is apparently located in Victoria! Could you recommend something light? I never really liked beer but a friend suggested I tried this pale ale while eating chicken and it was just really refreshing!

  • If I buy from Dan Murphys and pick up instore, will I get a proper receipt?

    • Yes of course, it's an Australian business registered for GST, they have to give you a tax invoice.

    • They email it to you soon after you place the order.

    • Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I meant a invoice from Dan Murphys themselves rather than a ebay one. I know when you buy from the Good Guys ebay store they give you a store receipt on pick up as well as the ebay one. Does Dan do the same?

      • +2

Dan Murphys email you a tax invoice.

        • Marvellous. Thank you!
