Whats the reason for your neg? Every sale (in store and online) has some level of exclusions.

      • +2

Is that your reason for negging?

      • +6

Cmon mate, you should know that's not a valid reason for the neg

Read that and you'll change your mind on bullion on ebay.

      Paypal did nothing.

      • Bullion is always excluded from eBay XX% off sales, was just being facetious. Bummer of a story though!

  • +4

Can't see how long this one will run?

    • +2

I'm looking too! So much for their 'full' T&Cs… they don't even tell you the offer period! I've just put a best offer on something and want to know when to retract it :) It's a great win-(semi)win way of buying certain things on eBay, either they accept the offer and you get a further 10% off (win) or you retract the offer when the deal expires and you walk away (semi-win). Has worked really well in the past.

Fantastic, I was waiting for this. I have 3 items in my cart and was going to pay yesterday but given the recent spate of 10% deals I thought there must be another one around the corner. Glad I waited.

    • +3

      Well done.

    • +2

I am waiting for the 20% off that some new accounts have received recently.

  • +1

PRONTO means READY in PORTUGUESE haha lol

    • +6

Same in Italian (and it's how you answer the phone). And it's "soon" in Spanish.

  • +1

    Thanks.

  • +42

Jeez every time these sales come around I have a massive memory blank on what to buy. Then suddenly after the sale is over I have a lightbulb moment.

    • +12

That’s where the watch list comes in handy!

      • +3

Yep I keep stuff in my watch list and the things I want sooner (prioritised items) I keep in my cart.

        • If you put stuffs in your cart before cashrewards, will you get the cashback when you checkout?

        • @tukanglistrik: Yes as long as you enable the cash rewards app in your browser before checking out.

        • @Trishool: Good to know, thanks. I usually only add them to watch list, then when I'm ready to buy I go to cashrewards before moving them to cart.

    • +5

That's your subconscious trying to help you save money I guess.

    • +1

Exactly the same thing happens to me…

    • +1

I have the exact same issue. Funny that!

    • +1

Probably a good thing for your wallet though!

I keep a list of stuff I want, then when sales/birthday/Christmas comes around I know what to get.

    • +2

I usually have a memory blank AFTER I make a purchase… Trying to block out what I have just spent I think.

  • +2

    Is there an end date?

    • +4

      Appears to be 19/2.

      • thanks mate just saw the date on the ebay homepage as well :)

        • Why I can't not saw 19/2 on the ebay homepage..

  • -7

        Hi dad

  • Can i use stacked this voucher and ebay vouchees purchased from woolworths?

    • Yes

      • +1

Awesome. I beleive its max 8 per trans?

Im lookiny at a 2k purchase

    • -1

Doesn't stack unfortunately.. Just tried and no luck on that one

      • +1

Oh so you cannot stack even one ebay voucher from supermarket and the 10% code?

Was going to go to woolworths soon :(

        • Yes you can, eBay gift cards from Woolworths and PRONTO do work together.

        • @ParkG:

          Thank you
Do you know how many cards max per transaction?

        • Hi Guys,

Can confirm that stacking ebay gift cards (up to 8) and using E-gift wish cards at Woolies/Big W etc works to pay for them. Just did it now.

        • @simmogunner: No luck for me whatsoever stacking the $150 Woolies gift card and the PRONTO code.. Says the code can't be applied to items :(

        • @cristobaljames: Hey mate. That's really strange. So you went to Woolies, bought a $150 of eBay gift cards, applied the PRONTO code then added in each voucher in the same promo field that you entered pronto? That's what I did and worked a treat! We're you logged into your eBay account at the time? Was PayPal available as a purchase type (that was one of the ore-requisites for using the vouchers)

        • @simmogunner: Yes, all of the above mate. Even tried logging out and in again, tried through the app and even reset the computer after clearing cookies..

        • @cristobaljames: Bugger! I'd give Ebay a call direct then and ask them to make the purchase. I've had to do that in the past and they're actually really good as they can 'see' what's in your basket when you add the product and can help from there. The number is +1800 322 928. I think this is the last day of the 10% sale so I'd recommend doing it ASAP.

        • @simmogunner: Thanks for your advice :)

        • @cristobaljames: I had that problem also, it was because I had already used the code PRONTO in two separate transactions (max use was 2).

  • +10

OMFG!!!!! The greed some companies have, greed!

Pcbyte has a laptop that retails on their website for $2795. The price on ebay is: $3399

On the pic of the laptop they wrote to use pick5 code for extra 5% discount (like they are giving you that discount, not ebay, which is the one taking the hit for the discount, not Pcbyte) and on top of does 5% they write how they are giving you extra 10% off. So once we do all that without applying 5%, we get the price of $3059 when we appple pronto code for an extra 10% (instead of pick5 for 5%) then the price comes down to the websites official price of $2795…

What a greed. So where is the actual saving???

    • +3

So where is the actual saving??? At another eBay store….

    • Even many "professionals" support the practice. I blame the education system (or lack thereof), personally. lol I don't even blame PCByte and friends for doing it.

The genuine sales, like this one, is the one time where it is OK to get outside the familiar box of Pcbyte, etc

      • I'm just making an example, I do my research very well before purchasing something.

  • -3

    eBay should rebrand to TA.

    PS4 Pro anyone?

    • I couldn't find a decent deal. the cheapest I found is "PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB Console + 2 Games $559 @ EB Games" Plus 10% off.

      • If the games didn't suck that would be decent. Have they been updated?

  • +1

Since when does Bing Lee not ship to Melbourne ???

    • And do not allow click and collect if bought on their ebay store???

  • +9

Wow…. Officeworks has hit a new low - they have listed their store as 'on holiday and not processing orders'.

    • +3

They're not called OfficeJerks for nothing

    • +1

Not sure why .. I thought eBay took the hit for these non targeted promos.

      • Yeah that's the crazy thing! Here's an opportunity for them to make money! Morons!

    • Thank you for visiting the OfficeworkseBay store.
Our products are temporarily unavailable while eBay has a site wide event.
Because Officeworks is determined to ensure that we offer our customers, like you, low prices every day no matter how and where you choose to shop with us, it is important that all of our customers are getting the same low price in our stores, on our website, with our app, or on our eBay store.
Thus our products will be available shortly after the site wide event has finished.

      • lol

      • +3

at least they are not deliberately pretending to give discounts but instead just want to assure you that they have already been selling at the prices they are comfortable selling at

        • ACTUALLY they are saying "we want to rob you of 10%"

There's nothing stopping them having the same price online and instore. With online getting the 10% because it's EBAY that pays the sitewide discount.

Now, we could argue that everyday ebay prices should be higher than store prices by an amount equal to ebay+paypal fees (in fact, I think they should be. That'd force ebay to keep fees low). Then again, there's a counterargument about retail overheads not being applicable to online pricing.

        • @justtoreply:

Even office works carn't be bothered price jacking anymore..

      • They did this for the last 10% sale.

    • +3

Not the 1st time it’s happened

    • i reckon this is to stop the refund 'fraud' buying from ebay with the promotions. they may be working on closing this loophole like myer.

  • How long does this last for, just today?

  • Am I able to get the PRONTO discount on a MacBook Pro from Myer Ebay?

    • Why not? You can add the item to cart and try apply the coupon before you pay.

  • Before you buy check if its not on 20% back to uni discount

    • How do you get the uni discount? High school yr 11 wants one - will he get 20%? can you provide links if any. Many thanks

      • scroll to the top of this page, on the top right you will see "Top Deals" section, it is the 2nd in the list. Click on it.

  • Stupid restrictions. Still can't apply to suitcase, as its a general restriction on anything under travel.
