  • I thought I saw these for half price at my local IGA few days ago (Henley Beach, SA), not sure if it's IGA wide or not.

    • -1

They are half the Coles price every day of the year at ALDI.

      • +2

Why the downvotes? It is true, the same icecream is available at ALDI at this price every day. Only difference is the packaging.

  • +4

Cafe Grande fo lyfe yo, FO LYFE!

    • Mine just ran out too, how convenient.

  • +21

Wait, since when was half price $5?! They raised it again? D:

    • +1

Over $10 at Coles too now and most likely IGA.

      • +3

Very high standard price now. Just so they can continue these half price offers.

      • +1

        FYI
Coles online prices are usually higher thab in-store except for promotion/clearance items

    • +3

Yes, they raised this price couple of weeks ago. Last offer price was around $4.85/L. But still a good price though.

    • +2

I'd take a price increase over shrinking the packaging size, like chips…

    • +3

Yeah, I noticed that a few weeks ago that the price for a tub was $10..Really feeling like it's just too much.

      • +2

It is too much. Way too much

    • +1

sounded expensive to me too.. it is far from premium ice cream.. good luck to them selling it at $10..

  • +2

$3.85 is the 1\2 price for these in the past?

  • +8

A tub of this + PUBG= life. Thanks NC

    • Lol.

  • +2

Recently tried the coconut and chocolate fudge one and it was great. It's pretty much a lamington in ice cream form.

  • +1

It has reached $10 a litre standard price….very nice ice cream for $5 but not worth a full price. For $12 i can get gelato from my local gelato place that is miles better.

    • +2

If you think $10 is expensive for 1L, don't look at Halo Top ice cream.

      • +1

Yeah but you can't compare this ice cream to Haolo Top as that's a low-calorie, high-protein, and low-sugar ice cream.

    • WTF? Most gelato places sell for $20 or more per litre. There are also plenty of supermarket ice creams around the $20/L price range as well. Homer Hudson, Serendipity, Zebra Dream, Cocofrio, Haagen Dasz, Ben & Jerry's, Gelista etc. Peter's Connoisseur would be mid-range ice cream at its full price.

Yass! Brooklyn Brownie get around me!

  • +1

Love this, would usually buy 3-4 pints.

    • +1

      1 litre pints? Woohoo!

      • I meant that. Accustomed to using pints for tub. :))

  • +1

    That flavor is my favorite.

It's winter and I have sensitive teeth but I still want to eat it.
$5 is a very good price.

  • wed is always woolies post some "bargain" day…

  • +2

It's sad how much reduced-fat air-whipped crap is sold in the confectionary freezer these days.

"Connoisseur Ice Cream" is what we just used to call ice-cream when I was a kid.
    Time to stock up.

  • +2

    Goodbye belt.

  • +2

Since when did they jack up the price to $10 a tub?

  • $5 pizza $5 this $5.50 pork roll ah well you can't win them all but life is good

  • I'm a <gulp> connoisseur virgin… Favourite flavours?

    • +2

      Matcha and peanut butter.

    • +1

Cafe Grande and Chocolate Honey Nougat. Most people go crazy for the Cookies and Cream but it's not something I go for.

  • My favourite is the Raspberry white chocolate, the caramel version tasted too sticky to me though. Matcha is not bad

  • Anyone else notice the soggy waffle cone on the Matcha flavor ? The first was crunchy and great, but since then its been soggy and gross

    • I noticed that too :(

  • Wished Halo Top was on special :(

  • +4

when are we all going to rise up against the rort of selling an aerated product by volume ?

Admittedly Connoisseur is one of the denser icecreams, but why are companies allowed to sell air ? All products should be sold by weight IMHO.

  • If that happened, companies will just start using heavier packaging to get us to shell out more for less. There is no way of beating the hungry capitalism beast.

  • Hour does this compare to aldi indulge?

    • +1

One person above reckons they are the same, but offered no evidence. From my own recollection, the Aldi ones have a bit more sugar and the texture and taste are slightly worse. Each to their own.

      • I'm eating Aldi right now……not as smooth and tastes less sugar…..20.5g per 100g fat 8.4g

        • +1

Thanks for answering your own question :-) Not sure which flavours you're comparing though.

  • +1

White choc Rhapsody……..1/2 way thru now

  • Went to Woolies at Southport (South Brisbane store), they only stock Classic vanilla ugh

    • South bank metro? It's only a "mini" store
