Full frame smart phone? Here is was looking at APS-C smart phones…

That's a damn impressive piece of hardware for $150AUD. Software probably sucks with their own skin. If it's stock Android, then it's something to really consider.

If you think this is impressive you should check out the LEAGOO KIICAA MIX (LEAGOO T-MIX) on presale for $110 USD at GearBest and EverBuying.

      Here's a comparison

      • That looks interesting.

      • No contest!

      • This looks good. Winner why Chinese phones don't have nfc

    • Just got one, heres my quick comments:

Seems decently fast in day to day usage. I get around 5-7 hours of Screen on time just browsing the internet.
GPS is not as good as Xiaomi Redmi 3s - however for endomondo bike rides it is accurate enough (lines up to streets quite well).
For endomondo runs it is pretty sketchy, having you zig zag across the street.
No Compass. Internet/wifi speeds were fine, it connects to 5Ghz wifi just fine.

1 amp charging, so takes a while to charge (my Redmi3s with 4000mah and 2A charger finishes in around 2 hours, this probably takes 3h).

The launcher doesn't let you resize widgets, so i used Nova. I read around and other people have a problem where if you have two launchers, setting the default doesnt stick. You can fix this by rooting the phone guide here in german, then uninstalling the default launcher. I haven't tested this but it should work. Rooting is easy. I will probably get to it sometime in the next week. Rooting will delete all your data.

Screen is absolutely gorgeous in 720p. I really think 1080p is not necessary, so the other bezelless phones with higher dpi's arent worth it imo.

Camera is so so. It's what you expect at this price point, works ok during the day, horrible at night. It's good that theres only one camera because tbh all the other phones with 2 cameras, the 2nd camera is fake or doesn't do anything or the bokeh is crap.

Finger print scanner is good, it was working fine for the day or so before i went rock climbing (my fingerprints change every 2-3 days so finger print scanner isn't for me…)

If you do anything too intensive there is a bit of heat around the finger print sensor where the cpu is. I run caseless because i want to be aesthetic af, so it does get a little annoying.

Best thing is that it's in stock (unlike the other bezelless phones which all take 1-2 weeks to get stock then 2-3 weeks to receive). I got mine in just 6 days from gearbest, with DHL ($6-8?). Total price ~$148 aud

Redskull on YouTube just did a review on this phone. Worth checking out

    Huge chin though.

    • Agreed, but his car show on YouTube is awesome.

  • So how does this go on Telstra or Optus 4G? Also, anyone know how to get AFL app to work on non mainstream phones?

the 720p screen and the weak cpu gpu kind of kills this… and the unknown ling long brand

I'm going to neg this deal based on my recent experience with CooliCool.

Bought a phone 4th of August, listed as "in stock". After 10 days, and no communication, I emailed Coolicool to find out what was going on. I was told the phone was not in stock, and they required another 80-90 orders before they would buy more stock from their suppier (x100). Promised a refund within 7 days, that I'm still waiting for 3 weeks later. And - the phone I ordered is still listed as "in stock"…

Gave you a + to combat the neg someone gave you.
      Good info to have. Thanks.

Appreciate it mate. I'm just trying to help out my fellow ozbargainers by posting a first hand experience.

      • +5

        yeah this

If a person gives a true account of their experiences, then why neg them?

If you ask for a refund and its till going on 3 weeks later, how would you feel?

Whoever negged this is a giant a-hole.

        • +3

Thanks mate. I gave you a +, to also counter the neg you got for your support…

Only China websites that I would deal with are Banggood and GeekBuying. Never had an issue and refunds for faulty items seems achievable without jumping through hoops.

    • Good warning. I notice Associated OP logged off 4 minutes after you posted your comment. Have a plus-vote.

  • Looks good

Is this a cheaper knock off of Xiaomi Mi Mix?

  • +2

    Mix 2 is coming

  • This one with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM at around AUD 300 from Amazon

    https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01NCNFNBA?pf_rd_p=66555399-c12f-41…

I am not certain about shipping but prices are dirt cheap. Hopefully after 12 Sep it will go down further.

    • Coolpad is the sister company of LeEco. About the same price of the LeEco Le Max 2 with 6gig RAM and 64gig ROM.
