They haven't had that in stock in yrs but some idiot loaded old products to their site like a yr ago and the crap is still there even tho out of stock

More like garage sale with inflated prices.

  • Dunno if anyone here has same experience but me and a mate have had the Tab 2 of different size screen, and both ended up with bootloops. Flashed stock ROM and that fixed it til the battery for drained again.

    • I've got two 7" Tab 2's and they've been great. Haven't rooted them, but it's a fairly close to stock Android experience anyway (which I prefer). For the money you can't go wrong, everything else in that price range is garbage.

Rooted mine early. Avoided updates. Disabled about 90 separate crapware processes and bloatware, including all Google and Lenovo native apps. Installed a bunch of stuff from F-droid. Runs like a dream.

      Android 4.4.2

Had some issues with the (successor model) 7-inch Tab 3 when disabling apps after rooting….so I had to do a factory restore only to find out Lenovo's idea of restore is not proper. So some digging around for firmware was required. Lenovo support are a joke.

I wouldn't want to run any tablet wirh the native crapware that's foisted on users.

One can get original lollipop update from russian forums like we did, but as you said Lenovo support is rubbish. Left hanging out in the cold. For the price i agree it's cheap as, only cheaper you can go is China brands
