Don't belive this has been posted already. I have just cancelled my existing subscription and created another subscription with my suplemantery AMEX card and got 3 months free using this deal so can confirm that this works fine.

Also existing customers gets upgrade to Premium if you don't want to cancel your subscription. Premium allows you to

    Wanted to watch Ray Donovan but series 1 and 2 are on stan and the rest are on foxtel (which I have).
    All sorted now.

    • I got one just for this purpose. It is tagged onto my Mastercard account with Comm bank. It doesn't cost me any extra. Having said that, this is the first time that I will use it since I got it 6 months ago and even considered cancelling it recently.

      How much? It's not uncommon for trial services to place a small authorisation to confirm the card is active - they just dont collect on the auth and it drops in 7-10 days.

    • Me too. It did $1, twice for some reason. I expect it will reverse.

    • Yep same I have two pending transactions - one is $12 and the other is $1. I redeemed the deal correctly, said it would expire in three months time but when I go into my Stan account it says that I will be charged after 30 days! Weird as it says in my Stan account history that I redeemed the three month promo. Anyone else have the issue?

      Yes we use it to chromecast on one of our TVs quite a lot and works well. Works well on Andriod app as well as my MBP

    Here's a tip. Sign up with your Amex. Get 3 free months on standard. Change plan to premium. Then cancel. You now have 3 free months of premium.

    • They will not try and charge the difference btwn standard and premium as the deal is only for standard and 3 months ?

        Not if you cancel. Otherwise they will charge $15 per month after the 3 free months.

    I signed up for the Amex Promotion, but it seems like I was billed $12. Did others get this?

          Probably the $12 is because you change plan to Premium. eg. 07/09/2017 Changed Plan Stan Premium

      I got billed $12 as well.

      • I got charged 2 x $1.00 then it got refunded straight away.

    • That's exactly what my account history looks like as well. Showing up on my credit card as a $12 pending transaction as well - really annoyed! Does it say on your account that you will be charged after 30 days?

      • I had this happen to and Stan support refuse to assist with reversing the charge. I'll be raising the dispute with Amex.

    • yes. i logged in using my old details (inactive) and they basically said they'll give me premium for free (still had to pay $12/mth), so i created a new account to get the free basic service

  • can you access the australian stan and netflix from overseas while on holidays via hotels wifi or other hotspots or do they block it still?

    • Blocked when I tried in August of this year.

    So I already have had Stan for 2 months, if I take up the Amex Offer, I just get an upgrade to Premium for the 3rd month? No extra 3 months on at the end of my initial 3 month trial? If not, I cannot be bothered with this as we dont need so many connections at once. Should I be cancelling my service now, but I will still get my full 3 months trial ?

  • So I went to use this promo with an inactive account (cancelled it a year ago), and during the confirmation process, it said that I wouldn't be charged for 3 months (ie. I would be eligible for the 3 months free). It was quite clear that it would be 3 months free. So I proceeded to apply the promo to this account rather than go through the process of setting up a new one. (I know that was a bit silly) Then what do you know.. I was charged $12.

    I know the T&C's say new customers, but that is a bit deceptive if the confirmation page says one thing, but I get charged something different. Has anyone had any luck getting a reversal for their payment? Or being able to apply the promo to another (new) account?
