Air Conditioner Recommendations

Looking to buy 3 2.5kw air conditioners, 1 for each bedroom. Preferably quiet and efficient air conditioners. I came across the Panasonic CS/CU-Z9RKR. It fits the criteria but I cannot find any deals. can you please recommend me a air conditioner + any deals also any recommend installers for Sydney?

According to static ice, Appliance Central has it for $789 & the Good Guys stock it for $799. If you are not in a hurry, Panasonic are releasing the Aero range. So you should see retailers clearing stock hopefully cheaper or buy the newer model.

Panasonic is great. Drop into a jb hiding and good guys and just ask for their best price and see what they say.

Says $799 and another 10% off again
But go in store seeing you are buying three and deal.

    800 X 3 = $2400 for the units

    500 to 1000 X 3 = $1500 to $3000 for installation

The general rule is that once you're looking at buying 3 or more units, consider ducted air conditioning.

Ducted AC units start from only $5000 installed and are quieter, look nicer, are more powerful, less maintenance, last much longer, more rooms for the same price, more energy efficient, cheaper to run, etc.

  • I'm kinda in similar boat as OP… looking for 2.5kw reverse cycle system for my bedroom. In the past when I wasn't actively looking, I've seen people vouch for MHI & Fujitsu systems. But now when I'm researching, Panasonic seems winner!!
    So, now bit confused!!!
Anyone can please shed some light on my dilemma - MHI, Fujitsu or Panasonic?!

  • Just got a Panasonic CSCU-Z25TKR from AppliancesOnline price match for $837 (inc weekend delivery). According to Canstar, Panasonic's been killing it for the past few years.

I would not recommend CS/CU-Z9RKR for bedroom use based on my own experience, I have found it to be the noisiest aircon that I have used. The plastic used seems to expand/contract too much causing very loud cracking sound on start up. and even the motors used to turn the blades (directs the air horizontal/vertical) are noisy. The aircon. sits approx. 2.5 meters away.
The aftersales support (easy to deal with) wasn't able to fix all the issues , but did fix my major complaint that the aircon would produce loud cracking sound in the middle of night. (now it only does it on start up)
