Samsung…and batteries in the same sentence…prepare for an EXPLOSION of witty puns!

  • How many charge cycles can this one offer?

    • Cycle life: 300 cycles to 70% (4A charge and 15A discharge)

      • Cycle life: 300 cycles to 70% (4A charge and 15A discharge)
Cycle life: 250 cycles to 70% (4A charge and 22A discharge, pause at 70°C, resume at 50°C)

    15A?
    I can run it indefinitely

why i should pay this rip-off price? From ebay US i can get 9 US$ for 4 packs. Stupid Australian price jack.

    • +2

US$9 for 4x Samsung 30Q? Link, please? Because that's a really really good deal..

    • Cheapest price I could see on eBay.com is US$26.10 for 4. Works out to ~$8.14 each.
That's for 30Q's. Obviously cheaper 18650's, perhaps even ones that claim 3000mAh capacity and/or high drain.

    • Curtiss …Are you sure they are Samsung 18650 link please.

      • We have Samsung Official Certificate from our supplier

    • You will never get 4 packs genuine Grade A Samsung 30Q 18650 batteries at $9(including shipping and GST) in USA.

    • The problem with purchasing from oversea, is that most companies refuse to ship to Australia, or charge a high shipping fee.

    • Did you find the link?

      • Maybe my eBay searching skills suck because I couldn't find any US$9 4-pack 18650 batteries.

    • Where is this magical price? I need them in my life.

  • Added 2 to my cart and it's charging $17.98

    • +1

      Also no HTTPS.

      • Thank you for letting us know
Our programmer will fix it within a few hours.

      • Hi,
The problem is fixed now, SSL certificate has been installed correctly this time.
        Https is working properly now

    • The problem has been fixed.

  • Got 4PCS Samsung INR18650-30Q 3000mAh Unprotected Button Top 18650 for $22.95 at Banggood but might not get into the country.

    • I bought this last week during their 11th birthday sales for US$17.75

      • I guess $22.95 aus is about the same I hope they get through, gearbest won't ship batteries to Oz.

        • Yeah looks like we bought the same pack. My previous batteries from BG arrived so fingers crossed.

    • +1

I got 18650s from BG and they got in:)

      • glad to hear that. i'm still waiting on mine from BG.

    • Stocking up for the Q8? I think I bought the same ones for the same price but my Q8 is on backorder so the batteries will arrive and tempt me until the light arrives.

    • Does your comment imply that the batteries posted by OP are 'protected'?

      • The OP says they're short-circuit protected, but the product page doesn't mention anything.

OP, are these cells protected against short circuits and overdischarge?

        • Flat top, so no. Not sure the little round protection PCB's would be able to handle 15A anyway, so if you added protection, you'd be limiting the output, probably to ~2A.

        • Hi
          You can check datasheet here.
          http://dalincom.ru/datasheet/SAMSUNG%20INR18650-25R.pdf

          3.3 Over-discharging
3.3.1 The system should equip with a device to prevent further discharging
exceeding discharging cut-off voltage specified in the product specification.
3.3.2 Over-discharging may cause loss of performance characteristics of battery.
3.3.3 Over-discharging may occur by self-discharge if the battery is left for
a very long time without any use.
3.3.4 The charger should equip with a device to detect voltage of cell block and to
          determine recharging procedures.

6.4 Short-circuit protection of the cell
6.4.1 The cell equips with an insulating sleeve to protect short-circuit which
may occur during transportation, battery assembly and /or system operation.
6.4.2 If the cell sleeve is damaged by some cause such as outside impact,
it may cause short-circuit with some wiring inside the battery.

PCBs will not be able to handle 15A discharge current. Because this is a high current battery, it is hardly to find Samsung 30Q 20A battery with PCB protection. If you are worry about overdischarge, you can check Sanyo 3500mah NCR18650GA or Panasonic NCR18650 batteries, they have higher capacity with around 6-10A discharge rate.

They are very good batteries, got another 2 from Banggood last month for $13.91. Beat ops price! lol

  • Thanks op. This is a good price for these. Have ordered 4.

  • is it good for RC cars?

  • Australian Stock? if so then a good deal.

    • +1

      Hi,
      Yes, we are in Melbourne

  • I would have bought this if i already didn't buy 4 from BG few weeks ago.

  • Some of your batteries say "Genuine" and some don't.

Can you confirm that these are genuine Samsung batteries and not re-wraps?

Do you source them directly from Samsung?

    • +1

      Hi,
All our batteries are Genuine batteries. We get these batteries from our suppliers not directly from Samsung.
Our suppliers have LG Samsung official certificates, but they do not have certificate for batteries from Sony.
They told us, Sony will never issue a certificate for Sony OEM batteries.

I think a lot of people misunderstand rewrapped batteries. I will clarify for that. A few manufacturers rewrap Samsung LG Sony batteries as they own brand, claim higher capacity and discharge rate ,and then sell them more expensive than Samsung LG batteries. For example, they may rewrap Samsung 30Q 15a 3000mah batteries as 20A 3500mah batteries, because the quality of Samsung Lg batteries are quite good, and 15A 3000mah are sufficient to meet majority customers requirements. Therefore, it is really hard to be found. In conclusion, you can find fake Samsung LG batteries in the market, but it is hard to find rewrapped Samsung LG batteries.

      • Thanks for clarifying!

        • No worries and have a nice day.

  • Banggood is genuine 30q. Best price I have ever found.
