    Ultrafast shipping!
    Ordered on the 15th, on truck for delivery today.
    $145 for a nice mobile including DHL shipping, what else can I ask for?

    • Yea same. Ordered on 15, got a SMS this morning saying it's out for delivery today too. Ridiculously fast shipping, especially considering it's from overseas. Even faster than local delivery, I think..

      • What colour did you guysr? Mines black and still processing from 14th

        • Ours is black and delayed waiting for stock… edd friday 29th. Worth the little delay.

    • Nothing yet for me. Ordered on the 14th

      XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4X (GREY, 16 GB, RAM 3 GB)

      Still stuck on Processing. Maybe waiting on stock for the grey one.

      • Got the shipped email this morning. Yay!

    • Hi with your order, did your Shopmonk account status update from 'processing' to anything else? Or was it just shipped? Thank you.

      • No I haven't got time to check the status yet. Ordered gold colour FYI.

      • Still says processing in my account but got the shipping email with tracking this morning. Check the junk in the trunk folder as well. I think that's where mine was.

        • haha cheers mate!

        • @MrMeow:

          No worries mate purrrr :)

  • So I've just been told that the item I bought is not in stock until next wednesday. Awesome service.

      Delivery should be super quick tho at least. Took just a couple of days. Worth the wait great phone at a great price.

      In the mean time probably a good idea to order a shockproof case and a tempered glass screen protector off eBay. Don't think this one would survive a drop so not game enough to use it before the case gets here.

      • +1

        Already ordered all of that stuffs thanks for the heads up though. I'm not happy about the time but the price was good and it will be sent fast like you mentioned. These guys seem a bit hit and miss.. definately avoid if you're in urgent need of something.

          We are in the same situation. Was told today delivery by friday week.
          It is understandable that at this price they would be hit hard but to their credit they did not put up the "sorry… all sold sign" and will honour all orders.
          One thing for sure is that when the stock does arrive it will get here very fast.
          I ordered one from another supplier and it took almost 3 weeks! Even after waiting for new stock Shopmonk should still beat that. I still give Shopmonk a solid 10/10.

    Just got an email from shipmonk that after a week of ordering that the black is out of stock and if I would like a grey one…. with no ETA I’m the black

    Couldn’t they have told me this earlier!?

    Definitely don’t shop with shopmonk if you are in a hurry!

    • Ditto

    • I see the black one is now available for order again on their site.

      • You're right… hmmmm

        • They must have a confirmed delivery date of more stock?

        • @xywolap:
          Ours arrived today, took 3 days after telling them we would accept a grey one in lieu of black.
          Not slow at all.
          Shopmonk also included an australian charger as well as the us one.
          I have seen where one supplier supplies no charger at all!

        • +1

          @xywolap:

          My included Oz charger (a white USB type one) made some hissing sounds so using the original one with an adapter instead. So not sure about the quality of it.

        • @dins: We now have 2 and charge them on a charger from an old phone or via computer usb, both work well.
          The 4X from Shopmonk has a Samsung sensor in the camera so that was an extra bonus.
          The other one (ex banggood)has an Omnivision sensor and contrary to some reports it takes brilliant pics indoors or in low light. Better than some mid range P&S digital cameras.

          @xywolap:

          Yeah have had it for around a week now and I got to say it's a great phone. Doesn't look or feel plasticky, top features, quick and responsive, no complaints with MIUI, decent screen, great battery life and charges pretty quick as well (with the original charger) and the camera is not too bad either for my needs (Sammy sensor in mine as well). I have been an Apple user all these years and Android has definitely come a long way. All up very happy with the phone thus far. For under $150 an absolute steal no doubt!

          @dins:

          Definitely a bang for buck phone! Played with mine last night and the only downside I have with it is the voice sound quality when making calls. It sounds boomier or something compared to the iPhone however this may be related to being a non-band 28 phone?

        • @SevenSmurfs:

          No such issues that I have noticed thus far on mine. Maybe try disabling voLTE option? (settings > sim cards & network > voLTE enabled to off). See if that helps in any way.

        • @xywolap: How do you know what sensor yours has..?

        • +2

          @illumination:
          Google it… my fingers are tired LOL
          Regardless, it does take perfect photos. I dont know where people got the idea that it does not.

        • @dins:
          Voice over ours is perfect. Have you installed some other app that may be interfering with it?

        • @xywolap:

          Mine works fine either way champ was just a suggestion for @SevenSmurfs

        • @dins:
          Cool bud… was responding to your comment at 11:07 not 19:13

        • @xywolap:

          Haha I'll accept that! :P

          @dins:

          Oh thanks.

          Sweet. Looks like I got a Samsung sensor.

          For others reference, mine says:
          Front Camera: ofilm_s5k5e8
          Back Camera: ofilm_s5k3l8

          edit: @xywolap:

          In this comment, are you saying the Omnivision sensor is even better and takes better photos than some P&S cameras? Confused because you also say "getting the Samsung sensor from Shopmonk was an extra bonus".

        • @illumination:
          I had read a lot about this phone before purchasing and on a lot of forums they were saying the sony sensor in the early releases of the note 4x were superior and that the samsung was ok and the omnivision sensors were poor.
          Now that we have one of each phone sensor to compare with (samsung and omnivision) it turns out that they were not correct imo. We have compared photos taken in low light and in scenery photos and we cannot pick any difference in the quality of the photos.
          If anything, I am surprised how good the photos are. They are better than any samples I had seen posted.

          Did you turn your camera setting up to max quality? Here is how to..
          Turn on camera> tap modes> tap settings wheel top right> scrl down to picture quality and change to High.

          The one we got from shopmonk was better than the one from banggood for minor reasons..
          Shopmonk supplied an aust charger as well as the us one in the sealed box.
          It was in a factory cellophane sealed box.
          The fast DHL shipping of a few days compared to the 3 weeks from banggood.
          .. and as mentioned.. it had the SS sensor.
          It was $20+ cheaper (at the time).

          Still cant believe how good this phone is for the $ :-)

          Edit. Re the HDR button in the top right of the camera screen…
          I looked it up and apparently when that is enabled it takes 3 pics at different settings and uses the clearest parts of each pic to compose the final pic. Take a pic in moderate light with it on and off to see the difference.
          The only drawback with HDR is it will blur any shot that involves a moving object and it is best to disable it for that.

          @xywolap: Interesting..

          Do you know if your tips to change the camera to highest quality is compatible with that Google HDR mod hack, and have you used that hack?

          Thanks for your tips btw!

        • @illumination:
          Glad that i can help a little. I read so much crap when i was checking this phone out it became painful LOL.
          I have not used Google HDR and cannot see me needing it.
          I did read that sometimes the updates (i assume the MIUI ones) may tweak your camera for better performance and this may be why they are now delivering much better photos. Someone with more expertise than me may be able to confirm this?
          I did see where someone said that to use Google HDR you have to root the phone. Is that true?
          I am not a fan of messing around with that side of it.. have done so in the past and just want to keep the X4 as it is. For now it is perfect.

        • +1

          @xywolap:

          Apparently Google HDR camera mod for Redmi Note 4 does not require rooting.

          I am in the process of doing rooting my Redmi Note 4 and installing LineageOS though and I plan to do the camera mod too. I have rooted phones before so not too scary/worried from my point of view!

        • @illumination:
          How have you found the quality of your pics pre mod?

        • @xywolap: Haven't actually tested it much yet… I've actually barely used the phone even though I've physically had it for almost a month.

          I'll do some quick comparisons when I can, but to be honest I'm probably not the best person to be comparing camera quality. I'm terrible with recognising bad photos - I'm the worst photographer and can't tell differences between cameras unless it's extremely obvious LOL

        • @illumination:
          If that is the case then i would hold off chasing any software fix to improve the camera. You may be surprised at just how good it is now.

    • I got the same email - I just asked for a full refund and got it later in the day
