Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, this feel like the cheapest MBP 13 with touch bar and 512GB memory in recent memory. Have been waiting for a deal in the 512 GB version instead of the poverty package from previous deals, and finally pulled the trigger.

On the other hand, please don't correct me, i don't want to feel like not getting the best deal! XD

Thanks to original deal

    8GB Memory.

  • Yeah I would have pulled the trigger on this too but need 16gb to ensure it's workable for the next few years

    • Trust me when I say these last for a lifetime even with 8gb of ram, my 2012 model still feels like day 1.

      • lifetime*

        *figure of speech.

      • Depends on your use. I need to run many Vagrant virtual machines. 8gb would be useless for me now, let alone for a 'lifetime'.

        Happy with my 15" 16gb.

Yeah I know but at least your 2012 has the option to upgrade to 16gb the new ones don't have any option to upgrade. I still love my 2015 MacBook air from the kogan deal a few years back but the 4gb on that now can be a little annoying and I don't want to spend these sort of dollars to be going through the same thing in a couple of years time with an 8gb unit. My experiences may not reflect everyones and it could just as well be the processor in the air slowing things down…

  • Is this the 2016 model?

Grey import from HK I assume?

Hi, I think this is last year mode (2016 release). Vaya_shop is selling this one for 2359*0.8=1887.2. Here is link if you would like to have a look.

I brought current model (2017 May release) 256GB touchbar version in Dicksmith ebay. Great price anyway.

If someone is looking for local stock, officework can do 2017 macbookpro 13.3 256GB with touchbar for around $2350, $2140 if you can have TRS. You just need to price beat ifrog.com.au

    • Aw d*mn, you're right. It is cheaper.

      • Yes for $1887 it is about $100 cheaper. I would buy if there is space grey colour.
Did you pay? Could you refund and go for this one?

        • Trying to, i guess too late now, haha

  • decent deal, but I'd rather no touch bar and 16gb for the same price

Agree, I recently upgraded to a touch bar model, and the lack of the escape key is really annoying. The touch bar is a gimmick.

    We need Ozbargain English lessons.

  • 😭 why no 16G

  • How does warranty work? If there are any issues do we go to local Apple Store or do we have to go through Kogan/dicksmith

    • Apple offers 1-year international warranty so no issue bringing to local Apple Store; however you can not purchase applecare for that.

  • How does GST and duties work?
