Not as good as the Big W one, figured I'd post it anyway in case that runs out of stock.

If you want Playstation Worlds VR, EBGames is selling it for $28 preowned. JB-Hi also have the 2 for $40 deal going on, whereby 2-3 VR titles are available for that offer.

  • What's the price for just headset? I have camera

  • Anyone own one and share their thoughts?

I'm afraid of motion sickness. I haven't found any place I can demo this.

HN has a booth where you can demo the Vive, but no one is there to give you the demo and guide you. I couldn't figure out how to use it, or set up the software. If they believe in their product, they should invest and have the booth manned at all times by a rep.

The PSVR is awesome. The image can be a bit grainy (a common complaint), but if you actually go through the setup options from the dashboard and adjust it to suit the spacing of your eyes, height, distance from the camera, etc, you'll notice a huge improvement (they don't tell you about that in the instructions).

Motion sickness can be a problem. My partner can't tolerate more than a few minutes of it. Games like DriveClub, Until Dawn:Rush of Blood or any other game "on-rails" where it makes you feel like you're moving, they're guaranteed to make you queasy if you're not used to it. You could ease yourself into that by playing The Playroom VR (which is free, and very fun to play).

There are a heap of games like Job Simulator that you should be fine with. You can also watch 3D Blu-ray movies with the PSVR, which is great if you don't have a 3D TV.

I have a PSVR set. Motion sickness is something that virtually everyone will have when playing fast-paced action games. Fortunately, it is something you can acclimatize to over the long term. I learnt this from r/PSVR in reddit and personally went through that experience myself.

Fast-paced action like RIGS caused me nausea in an hour's the first time I played it. It gradually got better, and boy is it worth it.

I suggest starting slow with slow paced games like Playroom VR (free on PSN, complete with trophies to platinum) and Playstation VR Worlds.

A lot of people don't understand the above, thus so many PSVR sets being sold second hand on Gumtree with Eve Valkryie and Resident Evil 7.

  • Perfect timing, heading to US tomorrow so without shipping it's sub $400. Thanks!
