Awesome deal but the extender isn't that great if you're going to turn off your modem because it has to be setup every time you turn it on

    • my mum does this, thanks for the info

    • Really? doesn't sound right.

Also, just curious, how many times a day do you reboot your modem?

      • Turn off my modem every night

          WOW! Ozbargaining to the extreme!

        • @biganthony10: Not really, have unlimited ADSL+. Modern slows down when being on for too long.

@BrodenIt: I was looking at it more from a save electricity ($) point of view. Maybe it's time to look into a better modem?

      • I have a shitty Cisco modem that every day I had to reset so that my computer could connect to the net. Still have no idea why it happened though it persisted through reformats and only stopped after I switched modems. If I had this issue, it would be a pain in my ass.

    • Apart from that it's a great unit and there's barely any speed gap with ADSL. Even extends the WiFi from the granny flat all the way to the front of the house.

Thanks, yeah I checked before posting but most showed as expired. The LITB one is an approximation as they say to pay in USD, not everyone has a 28 Degrees or similar CC to take advantage of it. Also recall people complaining about LITB, well same for Shopping Square, but I've dealt with them before never had any issues, even with warranty.

  • Does it act as a new WAP with different SSID? Hence, I need to reconnect to a different SSID to access the network via the repeater? The video on the page seems to suggest so.
