One must factor into the cost for the ink however, the cheaper printers seem to have more expensive inks..

What printer do you recommend for cheap ink?

I don't actually know, but what I would do is work backwards. Find cheap/clearance ink and then find a printer to match xD

          thank you!

I have this printer and have to say I love it. It works on the wireless network for both printing and scanning and was easy to setup, even for me! quality is great, too and ink lasts and lasts! BTW, its $40 at all Woolworths prolly as mine had it for $40.

    • Can confirm - $40 at Wollies Wodonga too.

Every HP I've had (three over 20 years) have printed perfectly legible text docs using "fast/draft" quality & THAT extends your inks by 3x. Other brands may vary, but test it for yourself.

FYI— after choosing, "print"> go into properties> print quality> change from normal to fast/draft.

    :)

      Fantastic tip, thank you.

    • Hi

Not able to find the way to this option of switching to "fast/draft".

Whenever I touch "Print", ending up printing out another page for me

Can you please take me through from start how to choose "print" please. Sorry, I am a slow learner.

      • Hello Cheapas—

Sorry I didn't see this message until today.

Sometimes there are icons on the page which launch an immediate print & doesn't allow you to choose your settings.

In most word processors or such, you can usually go up to the top-left of the program screen & choose "file>print". That, should open the print dialog box. From there, look for "properties" (a button). Inside, you should see "quality". Each printer is slightly different, but that's going to be similar enough that you should be able to poke around & find it.

Also, once you're on the document or page you want to print, you can also use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + "P", to open the print dialog.

        Hope this helps!

        ;)
