original 1st movie is the best of the bunch I think.
I made an effort to re-watch the first two movies prior to Alien Covenant coming out and in my opinion, thought the original was a snooze fest compared to the second one. Had totally forgotten how good Aliens was and would nominate that as one of the better movies in the franchise. Particularly, if it's been a while since you've seen it or never seen it before.
Alien was a great horror movie, Aliens was a great action movie.
And after that, every movie ranges from meh to bad.
I tried to rewatch the films for the theatrical vs director's cut but I just couldn't do it for Alien 3
Good deal for one of my favourite series of movies but would rather pay more to get from somewhere else as sanity loves putting stickers on every dvd case and store the discs behind the counter so you get free fingerprints on every disc in your NEW bluray collection.
Fly spray gets rid of sticker residue, also good to remove permanent texta off computers etc.
Eww… Use Eucalyptus oil or spray to get sticky stuff off.

Good price. Though if you're OCD like me, you will notice it is missing Alien: Covenant, not that that is a good movie. I don't think the series has been good since Aliens in 1986.
It’s a good movie imo.
It has some of the thickest characters ever in a horror movie.
It’d be boring if everyone did the rational thing. And it’s pretty crazy situation, I’d lose my head too if I were there.
@AustriaBargain: Don't try to rationalize it. They took horror cliches to the extreme. I expected more from a director like Ridley Scott. Hard to believe the original Alien was also directed by him.
Why would a person get explosive weapons and start firing it inside their ship.. their exit off the planet? Of course the ship blows up, just as a massive storm is overhead making it stupid for the mothership to attempt a rescue, which they try anyway.
All of the crew have their partners with them which is a very bad idea. It will lead to irrational decision making based on emotion whenever matters concern spouses. You want to avoid conflicts of interest in an important mission like colonizing a planet. It wouldn't be allowed in any military operation.
Worst of all, it seems to have taken the Prometheus series into a different direction than intended based on criticisms of that movie. They rewrote David and made him more of an (profanity) than he was supposed to be, and even wrote Shaw out of the movie.
These weren't expert space marines in any of the Alien movies, just cargo haulers, boffins chosen by a mad billionaire, all ordinary people who didn't even know that extraterrestrial life even existed. Even the actual fighters in some of the movies were not exactly space academy trained officers.
@AustriaBargain: I don't know if it's a smart idea to be entrusting assault rifles and explosive weapons to cargo haulers who aren't expert space marines. There's your first mistake.
At least give these people an intelligence test before putting the future of humanity in their hands.
@lostn: they did try doing an intelligence test, but they found that the intelligent people did not want to be put in a freezer and flung halfway across the galaxy.

Assuming it's the same copy, there's a review left on the same set at JB that says the movies are only theatrical cuts.

I've had the Alien Anthology blu-ray for years, in fact when I bought it Amazon accidentally sent two sets, but I may get this one just for Prometheus.
I'm keen to pick one of these up, I really like 1,2 and Prometheus and this beats buying a collector's edition.

If she started running sideways and the Engineer’sship started falling that same direction, then she would be doomed. I maintain this until my grave.
That was better than its god awful sequel which I guess they wisely left out of the collection. Until a new one includes it, which might be why this is going for so cheap.
