so these guys normally charge $79 for all you can eat but with this offer, you get free beers…

    kinda mediocre

    • +2

Depends on how many beers you drink really. Great value in our opinion!

  • Free flowing beer on Wednesday. :(

    • We like to break up our week here at the office ;) I'm sure your boss will understand!

      • No…Bosses certainly won't understand.

  • +8

Note important fine print: Deal is for 1 person but minimum of 2 must dine. So it seems like you need to buy 2.

    • -2

No one wants to drink alone surely!

      • +4

No offence intended, but it would be helpful if this information was included when the deal was posted.

          Thanks Moocher, will do :)

      The deal says: "Purchased: 1"

Serious question: What happens to the guy who purchased only 1 voucher? :/

  • drinking beer while having bbq makes you full very quickly, i have been there twice, meat quality just the same as the other 2 wagyu buffet in the city, $60 from memory.

    • Thanks for the feedback Afrowan!

    • Which other restaurants offer Wagyu buffet for $60?

      Thanks.

      • +3

Suminoya and Yakiniku, just type those on google. nowadays i only go to nikaido and nikuzo. nikuzo still uses charcoal which is better i reckon.

    • which other places please?

  • +1

    This place is awesome

    Lol.

They have 4 for 3 on Tuesday but no unlimited beer. And it is only $75 per person.

I dont see this is a bargain IMO.

    • $79pp not $75 - But yes you can do that, however you will end up spending that money on drinks if you're anything like me!

      • So this deal just unlimited beer extra which full people up by eating less food.

Basically you just provise extra option rhen you deem this is a deal?

You can 100% do it better by giving 10% off plus unlimited beer or drink.

        • That would be nice, and maybe next time we will, if there is a next time! But for now this is the deal! Enjoy it :)

  • So this is essentially a voucher for free beers? Only on Wednesdays

    • Yuppp

  • I'll happily do without the beer, any specials for that?

    • 4 for the price of 3 on Tuesdays if you book directly with the restaurant I believe! $79pp full price

  • Are the beef really Kobe Beef?

Shame it's only for Wednesday, I can't really get smashed on a weekday :(

If this was on a Friday then it would've been spectacular.

Oh go on! Call in sick on Thursday! Not sure if actually Kobe Beef.

      Website says:

We only serve our clients the most sophisticated ingredients such as TOP graded Wagyu beef

      • Thursday is the most busiest day for me, I'll get shot if I call in sick :'(

        • Well you have 3 months to use the voucher, try to plan ahead :) You won't be sorry, I had a great experience here 2 weeks ago.

        • @luxyluxlux: Can you work out a deal for Friday? I'll be forever grateful to you :D

  • Unlimited beef and beer, very good for gout sufferers.

    • There is also veggie sides, don't worry :)

  • This guys did buy one get one free lunch back in May/June which it is great ans rhey should do it more.

To pay the normal price i will be out.

    • They don't offer the buffet at lunch any more! Only A La Carte! But yes good idea we will have a chat :)

  • Only 1 purchased

    • The sale started 3 hours ago…

      • If it is a good deal and being posted here it will can be over 1000s in just 30 mins.

it is more it is a bargain or not.

BTW what is the rrp? Groupon always posted the original value and most of the time is it 50% off this value to become a deal.

      • 3 purchased now when the deal is up for a day, what a successful deal.

Because rep himself cant answer this, this is not a deal IMHO. More advertisement.

  • I suppose if you have 6 or 7 beers this could be worth it, but those beers aren't much chop, fill me up; bit strange. Make me feel a bit sick too.

  • Free Drink Wednesday, no need to buy voucher https://www.facebook.com/kobewagyubbqrestaurant/photos/a.126…

4 for 3 Tuesday, also no need to buy voucher: https://www.facebook.com/kobewagyubbqrestaurant/photos/rpp.1…

    • The facebook one is only for non-alcoholic beverages

      • Still it would make this deal as a bargain

  • The more you drink the less you eat, still a win for the restaurant. Other all you can eat Japanese places are around $55, not sure if paying $24 extra for beers is worth it… And you gotta eat & drink all that within 2 hrs.

  • the wagyu term is used so sparely these days its almost not creditable, most of the wagyu out there are either Angus beef with high marbling or very low graded wagyu. For the same price i would rather have good quality steak. Considering it cost > $100/kg for a marble 7-8 graded wagyu, either they are making a lost or making a killing with cheap meat

  • ..or you could go here http://www.nikaido.com.au/

    • Damn their promo, expires on Sep 30th :(
