  • oh great, coffee for psychopaths.

  • team of renegade roasters

Do they wear military fatigues while roasting?

  • How much caffeine in the Nespresso compatible capsules ?

  • anyone had these coffee? how do they taste? always weary of gimmicky coffee beans esp ones that come with these gimmicky mugs.

    • Yes I've had this coffee before. Personally I like the taste much better than the strong ones from Nescafe Nespresso pods. As with anything YMMV, so I'm speaking for myself, and as someone who isn't associated with Adore Estate Coffee. Thanks for the code, I ordered another batch.

P.S. @ Adore Estate Coffee - I got the bullet flask (looks kinda cool) and the black/silver flask, but when I want a flask, it's because I'm drinking on the fly. These aren't great or practical for that. https://www.thermosonline.co.uk/store/Thermos-Direct-Drink-F… has a much more useful mechanism from that viewpoint. Just saying :)

  • Thanks. bought some beans.. I usually go for the Ozbargain deals from Manna in Brisbane. I like a strong coffee and their fortitude blend is excellent.. What percentage more caffeine are we talking from a regular blend? thanks

  • Our coffee brewed contains 172mg of caffeine per 100ml of brewed coffee.

We guarantee a smooth and bitter-free cup of joe.

Like mentioned we have a 100% money-back guarantee

    • I assume the blend contains mostly robusta bean then?

To achieve that amount of caffeine, you need twice as much Arabica ground bean.

      • You sure know your beans.

      • Nope it's a 100% Arabica

      • +1

Although it is true that (on average) Robusta contains about 2.2% caffeine vs 1.2% in Arabica, you'll find that the way it is roasted and ground play a significant factor also.

In particular, a darker roast could have a higher level of caffeine in the finished (brewed) product, as you need more coffee to reach the same throw weight. Similarly, a finer ground in theory should "release" more caffeine on brewing.

That aside, I am also interested in the quoted 172mg of caffeine per 100ml brewed coffee.
I'll post a question to the OP

        • -1

We cannot specify the exact beans used in our blend, But we can say it is a 2 bean blend precisely selected for their caffeine levels and dark roasted. The brew method used is a filter coffee system (plunger) using 40g of killer coffee and 300ml of 96 degree water.

        • @Killer Coffee co:
Again I am calling bunk on the OP's marketing claims of technologically industrially advanced high caffiene coffee.

Beans are beans. If you want a caffeine hit just use 40g of coffee. See example:

          40g of Arabica has about 1.2% caffeine = 480mg
Brewed in 300ml of water that is 160mg/ml. This is the same as OP stated 172mg/100mL.

If you like killer coffee for the taste then good, but the claims of highest caffeine I am calling out.

      @Killer Coffee co

Curious about your quoted caffeine content. (I'm used to thinking of coffee in fluid ounces / 30ml increments.)

What quantity of beans is the 172mg/100ml based on? (i.e. is this in a 58mm porta-filler for example? or are you referring to a drip filter? or something else)
Further to the above then, what kind of "brew" is being referred to here? (e.g. cold drip, french press, espresso, etc)

I find quoted caffeine content misleading unless you are selling a finished product, or you give details on grind, brew / extraction method.

      • Totally agree with above comments re caffeine content.
Op doesn't state the amount of beans or extraction method so the numbers quoted are as good as useless.

Im going to go out and call bunk on such high caffeine beans. Beans are beans, and have a certain amount of caffeine in.
The caffeine you get in your cup of jo then depends on how much coffee you use and what extraction method.
Add more beans and use less water = higher mg/L of caffeine.

    • That doesn't answer my question though.. How much is in the Nespresso compatible capsules? Would be nice to have this type of information available on your website

  • Are the reviews fake as have been suggested in the other post. Please clear this up OP

  • Reviews are 100% real and have been accumulated over 2 and half years.

  • Been buying their pods for a while. Can vouch for taste and caffeine kick both being superior to nespresso branded pods.

  • Grabbed a 1kg bag for $36, I like coffee strong and dark so eagerly awaiting the beans!
