Was posting it and got a error message that it already had been and didn't let me post, didn't know OzBargin did that.

I went to have breakfast and Ozbargain told me I couldn't because I'm too fat.

    Thanks OP.

  • How come expired?

    • +2

Mistake. I converted and set the expiry date/time for AEST but accidentally clicked September 1st instead of October 1st.

Played the game? Now try the real thing! Coming soon to a region near you…

ive actually thought that in recent times: all the post apolyptic games & tv shows ive played & seen in my lifetime, will actually give me some good tips if it ever does come to that

hint from walking dead: in the event of a disaster and society collapses, go straight to your nearest police station\gun store and arm up

      • +8

Everyone will do that… I'm duct taping a dildo to stick as a weapon.

      • Dang it! I thought I was the only one to have thought of that!

        • i dunno man… seems like a bit of a dicky move eh

@Zitane: I think you replied to the wrong comment…

My first stop was always going to be bunnngs. Tools, weapons and sausage sangas!

        • Just don't mistake your sanga for a dildo on a stick

  • Got it. Thanks!

I wish that someone would do a proper port of this for iPad/tablets. I know there are work around as but Iā€™d love to be able to play this at lunch at work.

Anyway, great game. My favourite in the rpg series.

Lost many, many hours to this game and this series.

    Nice post OP.

Painful to play the first Fallout game, the little changes in Fallout 2 made it a lot more enjoyable. Wish there was a way to play Fallout in Fallout 2 engine.

  • Practice for North Korean response?

    • +3

Nah, this is for the descendants of the survivors, we need one called, how to survive a nuclear apocalypse.

      • Somebody better start building vault-tec vaults!

I'll take the one with one male (me) the rest females thanks. For science.

        • +2

          @FabMan:

          Sorry, they are all taken.
You will get the one with all males and one female which happens to be a very comment-happy, critical fellow Ozbargainer. šŸ˜‰

Can I be an observer in the vault that has just one race and religion in it? I wanna see what they fight about lol

        • @stormii: they will split over practically everything eventually!

  • Such an amazing game.

  • Woo, love this game. i likey.

  • never actually played the original, i wonder how well its aged?

    • It's clunky, glitchy, low-res and annoying. But an awesome game. I'd play it again if I had time.

  • Good work, OP. I've never played the original.

  • been playing this bad boy since its original release. one of the BEST games of all time people. get it ! :)
Im stoked because now I have the original game, GoG version + STEAM. nice.
    thanks

  • I wish they would port these bad boys to android, i would love to be able to play these games on the go with a proper touch interface.

    • Wouldn't even need to be a port. Just reimplement from scratch in a modern cookie cutter engine.
Easy money for any small studio they let do it.

  • Great game teaches kids about life early! Especially Fallout 2!

  • +5

do we get to keep it after the 30th?

    • +3

yup, permanent to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game. Great for anyone who didn't get the free GoG copies a few years back.

      • great, thanks!

  • Thanks, OP.

  • I played Fallout 2 first, going back to this was painful. Fallout 2 on the other hand is probably my favourite RPG.

    Definitely worth playing through though.

Is it possible to add to the library and have it available to install later? Or do I have to install now. Sorry for my n00b-ness to steam.

Edit: Never mind, followed the links and it is now added to my library :)

don't forget to go back IN the vault after leaving to get that shotgun ;)

    • No wonder my character got killed 10x already looking for a weapon outside
