Samsung Addwash 11kg King Size Front Load Washing Machine Delivered & Installed for $1194 + $150 Cashback @ Harvey Norman

160

We've been looking for a bigger front loader and came across this one, it has great positive reviews and this one is one of the cheapest at the moment. You get free delivery and installation as well as $150 cashback but the cashback offer concludes tomorrow. As long as you buy it by the 3rd of October you have 14 days to claim back the $150.

I ended up buying the wash machine from thegoodguys as i get 5% discount for gift cards so it ended up costing me $1140 - $150cashback - $300(selling old machine) = $700

  • I'd imagine if you also hit appliances online up they would beat the price with free delivery install and removal of broken one.

I recently bought one off them and service was top notch.

    • They've got it at $1580 but most likely would price match and I've bought a couple of whitegoods from them and service was great, delivered and installed.

It's too early to tell with this model, fingers crossed the reviews stay good a couple of years down the track. But we bought it earlier this year for $1250 + cashback, and it's been very good so far.

Selling old machine… not really a saving mate, seeing as I assume you paid more than $300 for it…

    • True, call it a benefit than, the older machine is 7.5kgs, 3 years old and just not big enough… the $700 is worth the upgrade…supposedly this is good at saving laundry powder, water and electricity as well as reducing the amount of washes… it will pay itself off in 2-3 years hehe

      • Nope, not a benefit. A loss. When you sell something for less than you paid for it, it’s called a loss.

What's the fire rating on this?

    • whats your home insured for?

      • -2

My insurance doesn't cover Samsung products, clause 1a:

*Excludes fire caused by Samsung appliances.

What's the fire rating on this?

This is a big model so it's probably good for four houses or a small apartment block.

    • 4.5star water rating and 4 star energy rating

Powerful Cleaning in Less Than an Hour

The new Samsung washing machine uses Speed Spray to rinse your clothes more powerfully, accelerating spin speed to complete your washing in just 59 minutes!4

    In less than 1 hour.
    I'm sold.

  • Now you just need a good deal on a smoke detector

  • I got one of these earlier this year. My house has been fire-free thus far. Although it does play a very annoying and very long jingle when the wash has finished. Otherwise it’s been great!

Ours was $911 from domayne although I think this was a pricing error because no one else would get anywhere near that price with a price match.

yeah bing lee had it for the same price on their ebay, was looking at it on Saturday, missed the 20% discount. :(

Would have brought it down to $870ish.

Ohh i did check ebay on thursday and BingLee didn't have it but they do now and it is $1199 but even with 20% it would have been $960 + $60 delivery so $1020 instead of $1050. You cant claim cashback with ebay purchases.

I bought the 8kg one last week for $800 from HN. So far I like it. I still haven't worked out all the functions. The only annoying thing is that with some automated sensing cycles, it won't tell you how long the load will take until the cycle starts. I did one full load that took 4 hours!

But it does have a 30 and 60 min wash. I tried the 30 min wash cycle on some clothes that just were sweaty and it worked fine.
1400rpm spin drying is very effective.

It does have a jingle at the end of the cycle to let you know it has finished. Kind of like a victory celebration, machine language for "I have spent 4 hours pounding crap out of your underpants, and they are now clean, ta-daaa!".

    Aah, progress.

More like no fire this time, maybe next time…..

    • The jingle is great. It’s my favourite song
