Has anyone done any of these experiences in a V8, and would they recommend it? What would people recommend… back, front or driving ? thanks :-)
I did the Calder Park V8 experience years ago and was highly disappointing. The cars were pretty standard v8 commodores with maybe some brake and exhaust upgrades.
The instructor pulls you up if you are going into the corners too tight or losing a little grip.
Worst of all, I could've sworn they stuck a screw or something behind the pedal so you couldn't put it flat to the floor, definitely felt underpowered compared to some regular ol street driven v8's I had driven.
I get they need to put some safety measures in place, but I stepped in with a smile and got out without one…which should be the opposite of the experience.
That being said, maybe some of the other providers are better or it has gotten better in recent years.
anyone experienced the rally one and got to drive? heard you have to drive slow so they dont yell at you..
