Renewing a Citibank Plus Card. How Does It Work?

I've got a citibank plus card and it's due to expire in about 2 or 3 months. How do I renew it so I have no down time? Do they automatically process it and send it to me in the mail?

Thanks guys, new to credit/debit carding.

btw, sorry to get you guys to solve my problems, but my brief google search gave no results.

They'll automatically send you a new one in the mail about one month before expiry.

    • Awesome. I hope it's visa, they change to Mastercard on March … I think? aha

It will be MasterCard. They ditched Visa.
But now you can take advantage of this deal

@StoneSin: What's the concern with the mastercard?

        • @CLoSeR: Probably just personal preference but I always felt Mastercard was the second tier due to availability. Maybe I'm ignorant though.

      • It'll be Mastercard. beat me to it lol

      • It's a mastercard now, I had my old visa replaced when it expired.

  • It will be sent to your Postal Address automatically. Make sure the address is still current.
(Initially it would have been sent to your residential address.)

And you could always call their customer service line rather than call Google.

Sometimes Ozbargain relies faster than Citibank! Lol

Suggest you hold off activating immediately when you receive the new card as you may get a cashback deal ($15 back for $100 spend on new card). I received this email on 28 August when my old card was due to expire 30 September.
