The one I purchased during similar deal last year had 2 years from date of issue. As long as you don't scan WW rewards card, they shouldn't be able to track purchases from multiple stores

i buy the myer deal with 5% off e gift cards, and as a ww staff member get 5% discount on that. If my maths is correct WW staff can potentially get a $220 Myer Gift card for $190 paid for with egift 5% egift card, so total cost would be $180.50 for $220 Myer gift card!!
Has anyone ever been denied for converting an egift card like that? I don't want to buy an egift card then later find out I can't use it haha!

And I purchased the myer ones last night heads up to all WOW discount card holders, I can confirm you will pay $180.50 for a $220 Myer gift card from woolies by combining egift card/staff discount

Yeah, I lost $190 when dicksmith went bust. Couldn't even recover it from woolies because I already spent the money, dicksmith never delivered the goods and then gave a giftcard back via mail. It arrived the day after they announced they wouldn't accept giftcards anymore…. Arrived at my old address from 5 years ago interstate instead of at my most recent address where the order was placed.

I think stock is way too sensitive to take this route for an iPhone X. May end up with $1800 of gift cards with noting to buy. Be careful if you’re gonna do this - make sure you have something to spend $1800 on…

I guess if you are willing to wait a little bit (perhaps up to 2 months) to get the iPhone X of your choice from Myer then you can just weigh up the time vs savings aspect of this transaction.

You can Ive done it online 3 times this year.
They let you use multiple gift cards too, to a max of 5 gift cards. So keep this in mind as I wantes to use up 6 smaller value gift cards once but they max it at 5 cards.

I would stock up but it depends on your definition of 'stock up' and of course your future planned purchases. The last time they had a $10 bonus extra deal during the Myer Vogue fashion week, I knew of people who would not blink at getting $5,000 worth of GCs as they were planning to buy the new iPhone, a new bed and some general spend.

That’s what I did with MYER gift cards I bought when Woolworths did the bonus points offer a few weeks ago. I bought the iPad Pro and a couple of adapters. Actually did it online but imagine in store would be the same.
I bought $200 cards at self checkout, 2 cards per transaction. There is a self serve limit of $500 that the person in store couldn’t override. She then suggested only buying 2 at a time, which I did.

Oh my god, that's exactly what has just happened to me. Yesterday I figured out what you meant so bought up big through cash rewards and promptly had my credit account suspended due to the transaction being flagged as suspicious. Credit Card has been unlocked by the bank but now there's a hold up on Woolworths end. Very frustrating!

I paid $425.7 for $450 of woolwroths egift cards then scanned $500 worth of myer cards at self checkout, scanned ww rewards barcode on back of my woolworths credit card then paid with my $450 egift card.

I just bought 2 today, but there were none bonus loading to my GC. I checked the balance and did not have any bonus. I contacted to Myer, they asked me to contact Woolworth, and WW said I had to wait 2-3 days for them to check and call me back. Is there anyone suffering same problem with me. $50. Both the $50 card I bought today and the $100 I bought last week didn't mention anything about the 10% bonus but the 10% bonus had loaded when I checked the balance of the $100 card when Triple J gave a link

This sounds as though it's an IT glitch, where the promotion ended on 17 Oct 00:00:00 instead of 17 Oct 23:59:59. I hope they fix this up soon for all who have been affected by this.

Tried a 2nd time and spoke with someone else, they said it was a Myer issue not Woolworths, and that I needed to contact Myer. I asked to be transferred to their gift card department, and was put on hold for about 5-10 minutes. The same rep I spoke with then came back on the line and said that the gift card team wouldn't take the call and that I needed to contact Myer…

Woolworths had the promotion splash at the gift cards stand in their store, I retained a copy of the catalogue and the Woolies staff gave me one of their small banners.
I spoke with Myer in the store yesterday and they couldn't do anything, it's a Woolworth's issue.

this is extremely disappointing. And I was just about to call woolworths to sort this out. I would not have picked up those gift cards if not for the extra 10%.
@fornever: Document all contact with Woolies. Keep chasing them. If it's not sorted out within 72-hours for me I'll be pushing for a full refund as misleading and false advertising. I'll probably to go the respective Australian government body for this as well if not sorted out promptly. It will take me time, sure, but it's a good experience for me to sort it out plus I have some free time as Uni is finished for the Session.
