          no bonus yet on the 2x $200 cards I bought - hopefully they credit soon!

          @kerfuffle: Yes it seems that Woolworths is manually crediting the topup bonuses which were missed out. 3 of the 6 cards I bought last night now have the topup credit, and I expect it would be a matter of time before the rest would be credited.

          If you log onto the Myer gift card page to check balance, you should see that the topup bonus is added as an additional "REFUND-VIISUP" line in the Transaction History.

          I agree with the theory above that it's probably due to either an IT or manual error where the end-time for the offer was set erroneously to 00:00 on 17/10 rather than 23:59.

          Anyway, big scare for all of us, but kudos to Woolworths for managing to deal with it within 1 business day! I was honestly preparing to demand a refund already…Only thing Woolworths could have seriously done better was to perhaps have posted a Facebook Post or some kind of communication advising everyone not to panic and that this issue would be sorted. Instead, they did not reply anyone who posted regarding the issue (or at least that I know of)…

        • @cookie-monster: Thanks! I have nothing 24 hours after however the helpline said they know of the issue and to wait 48 hours for it to show up. If nothing after that then call them back. Seemed really helpful

  • Hey guys how do you check the balance of the card? do we have to scratch the access code? I like some of you purchased $1000 worth yesterday evening about 630pm but I havn't checked as I waiting for 24hours to pass. The staff also insisted if I scratched them I could do nothing with the card but i did say i would be chasing woolies for refund if the extra had not been credited as the posters all said it bonus goes through at time of purchase - have photo for reference!

    I'm writing to you in relation to incident incident number that you raised with us concerning the purchase of Myer gift cards at our stores.

    I can advise that unfortunately there was a batch of cards not set up correctly at the supplier side which led to this issue. As this promotion is external to Woolworths systems we were unable to see this error or rectify.

    I can advise that the supplier IT team have identified all cards involved and have added the bonus back to the card retrospectively. From a Woolworths Supermarkets point of view this is all of the action we are able to take

    Should you have any further issues or queries on your card or card balance, you will need to contact the Myer Customer Service team on 1300-398-226 or at myer.com.au/giftcards

      A batch? Pretty big batch … I reckon the clock issue is more plausible

      Incidentally, has anyone seen the new Myer Gift Cards in store at Woolies i.e. orange and white? I was gonna grab one yesterday but then thought that the 10% bonus probably only applied to the old black Myer cards so bought a black one

      • I think there is only 1 Myer GC at WW, they're the black one. I have been working at WW for 6 years, never see other colours ;)

          @kerfuffle: I actually thought the issue might be with the new white myer gift cards.I purchased one of these new ones late Sunday arvo it charged my credit card but didn't load any money on it .Lady at service counter fixed it up by loading the money onto old black giftcard.I thought she said they were having issues with new white gift cards.

      I checked my cards in more detail yesterday night and discovered that 4 of my giftcards still did not have the 10% credited to them. the rest were credited. I just checked them a minute ago, and they still did not have the 10% credit added.

    • I have some cards with the bonus applied, with others showing no bonus applied. Hopefully, it's done by this afternoon, tonight is hopping night!

    Took a while. Would probably not buy cards on this type of promo again if I have planned to use want to use them so soon.

      Yes, i agree, it's too complicated to check that the cards have the correct credit loaded. I would rather just a simple direct discount - 10% off purchase price - pay $90 to get a $100 giftcard. this way, you dun need to worry about whether the bonus credit was loaded.

      • Just checked and I have received the bonus on all cards now - 2x $200 cards received their $20 credit within the last hour or so it seems

        • I can also confirm that I've now received the bonus on all 6 of my gift cards (in various denominations). Finally!

        • @cookie-monster: Just checked the other 2 outstanding cards. the 10% has been credited to them too. so i'm all good :-) Shopping time!

  • Damn, this was a good deal. Any chance of this coming back before Christmas?

    • There's one at the moment but the 10% comes in the form of Woolworths Rewards points so probably not what you were after.
