Have been looking for a new TV since my LG 60" Plasma TV "popped" over the weekend. (not worth replacing the boards)

Originally was thinking about getting the Kogan 55" Curved LED TV for $699, but the 20% deal from goodguys made the TCL's C2 55" TV a possibly better deal. (at least to me)

I think it's a great deal since the TCL 55C2US from Goodguys was already among the cheapest out there, but the 20% deal made it even better. I think it's worth paying a bit extra for more features like the HDR Ratio / Harman Kardon Audio and the Android Smart TV. (prefer Android than any other crappy smart software from other manufacturers) Plus it has a built in Chromecast too!

  Isnt it better to have a dumb tv and a chromecast than a smart tv that is laggy and wont get support or updates in the near to long term future>?

    I would prefer to have a separate Android TV device, but for some, it's just easier to have it all built in and updates be damned… I can see that course of action has some appeal too. I prefer the Shield Tv though.

      My point exactly buy a dumb panel and connect what you want each vendor has some random bs then compatability issues
