GearBest - Keeping Track of Orders

I have been buying lots of bargains from gearbest the last few months. I am just wondering how best to keep track of the orders. Unlike other shopping apps like banggood the gearbest app does not have a "confirm received order" status. Makes it hard to know which items have been shipped and received. I use a third party app 17track but that has a limit of 40 active items only. And there is a lot of cut and paste to keep track of the item order status. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the input. Looks like the best way to keep track of the Gearbest orders is to use the desktop browser to access their website. If you buy from multiple sellers, a third party app like 17Track is useful to keep an eye on the delivery of your shipped items but there are limitations with the number of active shipped items (up to 40). Alternatively keep a separate list yourself with info like seller, date bought, date shipped, date delivered, tracking no, carrier, item description, etc. Both methods require a bit of effort in cut and paste and updating the info to keep it current.

I just star the PayPal e-mail. When it arrives I un-star and archive it.

  • Sometimes I use the GB wallet (from refunds/cancellations) for those low cost items as it is faster than using paypal. So I dont lose out on bargains on the fast moving items.

    • But they'd still send you a confirmation email? Maybe you can just star that (I also use this method that BC uses above).

      • Yeah I could use the "Great news" item is shipped email from them. But it would be so much easier if they include that in their app.

The Gearbest site has a "Confirm order received" button in Your Orders

    • Banggood has it but not Gearbest.

The website has it, dunno about the app.

      • The actual Desktop site for Gearbest has a "Confirm Receipt" button.

I stand corrected. The desktop version does have the confirm button. I was using the app and some times the mobile version which dont appear to have that option. Once confirmed the order status changes to delivered and this is visible in the app under the 'All' tab as there is no separate 'Delivered' tab.

I order and forget about them. If they come, it's a nice surprise. If they don't, well.. I've already forgotten about them.

I've inadvertently ordered 3, 5 port usb chargers from 3 different sites because I didn't keep track and didn't want to miss out on the deal. Fail me.

Lol, I have this problem too. Ebay, Gearbest, Geekbuying, Banggood, DD4, Aliexpress. I don't have a good system to keep track of my orders, keen to hear from other people who has it sussed.

With the recent deals for Xiaomi and Blitzwolf stuff, I accidentally bought multiple of each because I forgot that I have bought one already.

    • Same! I've only received 2 things from banggood so far, so perhaps I should just stick with one website?!

      • Can you resist the deals from other websites though? I know I can't!

        • It would probably be for the "best" :(

Funny this thread comes up now. I just spent part of the morning going through my paypal transactions and physically listing all the orders down. Lot more than I was expecting to find

  • When I order something from somewhere I just add a line to a text file with the date, merchant, item.
When I receive it the line gets deleted.
