Superior brand demineralised water vs SCA Demineralised Water

Hi,

just wondering, is there a difference in quality between Superior brand demineralised water from coles vs SCA Demineralised Water from supercheap auto?

This is for mixing with concentrated coolant

the Superior brand demineralised water from coles is $3.29 for 5L while the SCA Demineralised Water from supercheap auto is $7.29 for 5L.

Thanks

    Should be all the same.

However most concentrated coolant specifies tap water these days.

  • If the demineralised water is created by distillation, it will be cleaner than if it was created by deionisation. Does either product say which process was used?

  • It probably uses a different filtration process to remove the minerals. For example one might use reverse osmosis while the other is distilled.
presumably one is more expensive than the other.

    Chemically they'll be identical.

meh. Get the cheapest if you don't want to use tap water.

  • use Voss

  • You can try Refresh Demineralised 2L sold in Woolworths laundry aisle. I notice they also stock 5L in the drinking aisle but litre for litre, the 2L is actually cheaper. 5L says it's distillation process but 2L didnt say anything, i think they might be the same process.

  • Measure the conductivity of the water. The one with worse conductivity is purer.

  • HERE you go , saved you guys some money. water is water , doesn't matter whose sticker is on the front.

    And HERE also

My question , has anyone actually tasted it :P

    • Boil it before it enters your mouth!
