Previous posts suggested that there was no response from hotline number or email address.

I only purchased once I was able to speak with a human using 1300 304 508 (10am to 6pm) for any queries and concerns. It rang out twice and then someone answered on the 3rd attempt.

Confirm GST is NOT on the invoice as this is an Singapore company as advised by the customer service rep. In saying that, upon paypal checkout it noted Sydney Cloud Service Pty. Ltd.

Garbage specs. Yes, significantly better pricing than AU RRP, but absolute garbage specs, even for under a grand.

    • Fair enough esp as it's not retina display. In saying that, for my 10yr old at school it's brilliant!

Fair call. The display is the biggest shortfall. While it was once far above average, its now far below average.

Put it this way, I'd not touch it at $1500, and seriously look at far better options for $1000.

Engineering wise, its still pretty good, but that screen is so sub-par (along with a 2, almost 3 gen old CPU) that your other options, while not being quite as sleek, may be far better value.

Certainly not anywhere near top of the line specs, but I would say 'garbage' is a bit harsh as your requirements when it comes to specs really depend on your intended use.

For example, whilst I could quite comfortably work with one of these as my job is mainly just done through email and Microsoft Word, colleagues of mine who need fairly powerful machines to run some complex software and massive excel files etc couldn't use it. So for them, this would not be a good buy. For me however, its not bad!

Some schools demand students to bring MacBooks and no other platforms which is playing into a monopoly disguised as an "ecosystem". I hate this attitude and they should let the kids/parents choose the appropriate platform.

Agree, you could get a very good spec Xiaomi Notebook Air 13" for less and Hackintosh it if you really wanted. Macs you either pay up for something decent that will last the test of time (and have long term resale value) or you will likely spend more in the long term.

For this price/form factor, would recommend the Xiaomi Mi Air instead.
