Calvin Klein Vs Tommy Hilfiger for Wallet?

Hi Everyone!

Just wondering what your views are on CK wallets vs Tommy Hilfiger wallets? The budget is around 50-55ish AUD and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the quality, craftsmanship, longevity etc. for these wallets?

I was looking at

Any advice is appreciated fellow OzB'ers!

Edit: Skeptical of the eBay ones so leaning towards ASOS as of now

  • Hard to tell from the photos, but they all look pretty cheap. You're not going to get quality leather for $50, unless it is on special or something.

I wouldn't get the ASOS one if you want craftsmanship and longevity, it's not even leather:

    PRODUCT DETAILS
    Wallet by Calvin Klein
    Faux-leather outer
    Billfold design
    Embossed branding
    Internal card and note slots
    Wipe clean
    100% Polyester

Get a bellroy, great wallet, slim designs. little bit more then the above its not too bad

just check Ozb for previous prices

  • These famous names are normally owned by bigger corporations that own lots of brands, and trade in brand recognition, the products are often cheaply made and sell well, because people recognise it as a good brand, ie chemist shop perfumes.
I know brand names are important to some, But these two brands are pretty low on the todem pole.
How good could it be for $50 considering all the people who would be involved.
For a few dollars more I’d get one made in oz from a leather craftsman. You can often find them at local markets or a saddlemaking shop,

I was given a wallet from Status Anxiety 4+ years ago and haven't had a single problem with it; just like new minus obvious cosmetic blemishes from keys etc. They are on the smaller side of wallets but I like compact wallets anyways. If I were to buy a new wallet I'd probably get one from them again.

  • Also consider Strandbags - Colorado leather wallets are frequently discounted there.

  • Ive got a Tommy Hilfiger one similar to the 2nd link. It's made well and has lasted a couple of years so far with no signs of wear yet.

    • Helps when one is a tightass and never takes out their wallet (generally speaking, dunno about you)!
