Time to Unsuscribe from Humble Bundle. They Were Just Purchased by IGN

I thought this was some sort of horrible joke, but the Internet's worst peasantry pusher & pay-for-positive-reviews gaming publication IGN just bought out the Humble Bundle group. http://blog.humblebundle.com/post/166366386976/humble-bundle…

Here's the fallout happening over at Reddit currently, as HB have closed down discussion about it at their site: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/767bnw/humble…

So just a heads-up, unsubscribe now before getting your e-mail inboxes flooded with spam and personal info sold off to 3000 other marketing companies. You also wont be able to trust the version or quality of games/product coming out in the Humble Bundle stuff any more either, as everything will just be paid for inclusions by the IGN marketing team.

This is truly a sad day for many in the gaming community.

    /u DanStapleton (IGN editor) says….

Technically we're sister companies now, owned by the same parent. We'll both continue to operate completely independently.

We'll have a disclosure next to anything Humble punishes that we review, and we're definitely not planning on giving any special consideration or promotion to any of their games. I've been personally assured we won't be pressured to do so - and you'll know if they go back on it because I'd quit in protest and tell people why.

    Let's hope that's true…

That's just corporate speak, it's a complete lie. Like when Activision promised not to interfere with Blizzard after their "merger" and look how that panned out.

ING merger humble bundle is good because Ign have good reviewer about gaming (computer). Even Nintendo switch.

Every new games I look ign first and see review good or not and I like it- buy.

Humble bundle always cheap game. Sometime good sometime small company make games (indie). Good indie exposure to all the gamers in the world to see and play because cheap code for steam games when sell /gift friends huh.

So now even better because ign and humble bundle together can be stronger gaming to everyone and maybe even better games for humble bundle. I LIKE IT. All games chips as chips good for everyone . Role play, network, mouse games. Is fun computers and gaming

It could just be that I just don't game that much anymore, but I haven't really been interested in the humble bundles in ages. I remember they didn't come up all that often so were more exciting. For the last couple of years though they've had multiple bundles going pretty much 24/7, and to me the quality of the content included has suffered (or is often repeated) as a result.
