Aussie Farmers Direct - Do I have to return the esky?

I got the deal last week for $30 to use on any meal at Aussie Farmers Direct

When I read initially it said how it will be shipped with ice packs etc so I thought it would just come in Styrofoam box with disposable ice packs

But looking more into it, seems when you first order with them, they send you an esky which you are supposed to out for your next order..

The esky arrived, it's just a cold bag so what happens if I don't ever place an order with them again? Will they ask me to pay for the cold bag? It doesn't seem to say on the website about this..

Also it says the milko is supposed to deliver the goods so I leave the bag out for him/her next delivery but I got mine delivered to my office in the CBD I didn't see who delivered it, assumed it was a courier as we have milk delivered to us from a company which is also couriered and it did't come with this? I thought the courier won't be packing the stuff into an esky for me assume it will come in a box next time with ice packs again and I just transfer it myself to the esky?

And even if I did get it sent home, I live in an apartment so I don't have a front door, only a front door to the building which requires access so I can't leave the esky out on the street?

  • It's only a cold bag. just reuse it.

  • Its yours to keep, if you make another order they would like you to leave it out for them to reuse again though.

  • I got 8 of them Coles delivery crates sitting on my balcony because of a similar issue. I ask the delivery guy whether he wants it and he always says "next time".

It's been 5 years. They're pretty high quality crates, but I've got not use for them.

    • Throw them on Gumtree as a freebie. Someone will have a use for them.

Have you tried asking them directly?

Obviously wanting to canvass an array of opinions on the matter and best ways to pose the question to the company before making direct contact. Can't be too hasty on these matters.
