Was just at a Jb HiFi store in VIC this morning asking if they would match Big W's $129 for the controller and game so I could pre order it and get the bonus Euro pack. Management said no, but the guy helping me said that there would be the same bundle as big W's (without pre-order bonus) at release for $119 bucks. Each store apparently gets 30 controllers and this deal beats the big w one by 10 bucks, so there should be plenty of savings to go round.

It's only based on my word, but I'm definitely going to head in on release day tomorrow and pick it up at this price, and if it's not 119 I'll just go to big w afterwards like I had already planned.

The only reason I could justify them not advertising this is so it doesn't affect their preorders. Don't know if this breaks site rules for no proof, but I heard it first hand from their sales rep.

    is he refering to the Big W bundle or meaning they will give you the Controller and the Euro pack for $119?

      Same bundle I believe. The same bundle seems to be everywhere. gamesmen have the bundle, bigw have the bundle. Most likely JB will ahve the same bundle sold at 119 instead of 129.

    I'm failing to see the bargain here and this is coming from a GT fan. Both the game and PS4 controller can be had for $60 a piece - granted the controller won't have those GT decals on them but I'm guessing most people can live without them. How much is the Euro pack DLC worth if bought separately?

      Where do you find gt sport locally at $60? the cheapest one listed in ozbargain is from big w at $69.

      Yep my point exactly - nothing special about the controller other than the decals. I think a limited edition bundle with an even basic racing wheel would've made more sense

    yeah, I played it this last weekend, I mean it was good but games soooo have moved on and it feels like GT hasn't. Gfx are good but you got Forza and Project cars etc now and Gran Turismo are just doing that same … Stuff, there are only so many time i can get my licence guys.

    Edit: forgot to mention I did NOT receive the jbhifi bonus stuff, I was told it was only for the limited edition steelbook edition of the game.

      Confirmed too, bundle is called Ps4 Hot offer 4 according to the poster in stores and receipt.

      Poster actually says you get a free dlc code for some other crap too but didn't bother chasing it up nor cared for it. Didnt sound like it was even related to gran tourismo.

    Tried to price match at my local EB games and was told that they have no stock on the controller (ETA next week) and the guy in charge wasn't so keen on price matching the deal with the usual "JB might have no stock when the controller comes and won't price match" or "deal might not be applicable anymore" etc. I suggest just getting it from Jb if you really want it.

    I did end up getting the game and controller today😀 didn't scan up as the above price so the salesman had to ask the manager and print out the order but got there in the end.

    Can anyone give me their thoughts on the controller? I just opened mine and it just doesn't feel right, using the directional pad feels off, a bit stiff and each button feels a bit different. The 4 main buttons all feel a bit different, almost feels like the whole thing is cheaply made, my old controllers feel better. It's not just that it's new, it just doesn't feel right but it's hard to explain.

    What are jb like with returns if I'm not happy with it? Do they have to refund or swap over or can they reject me because telling them 'it doesn't feel right' might not be a good enough reason. I'm happy to swap over if it's just an issue with mine as I need a new controller, but if this is how the quality is I'd rather a refund.

    Completed the driver school today which had some interesting challenges along with the typical gt ones. The cars look amazing and the handling is top notch can see myself putting a lot of hours into this.
