Cheapest Sim to activate Yahoo Mail account?

I've been locked out of my Gmail account for not using it, I'd like to create a Yahoo email but don't want to use my mobile number.

Is there a cheap sim that I can use just to get the activation SMS?

Thanks!

    Any $2 Sim… Really?

    • Thanks. Never ever bought one before so I wasn't sure if you had to then "top it up" with $10 to use it like an Opal card.

So if I buy a $2 Woolies sim I can use it right away?

      • Activate, it will receive fine but you will need credit to send.

I believe they last 6months without top-up, but could be wrong.

        • Thank you, sorry for the dumb question. I have never had a pre-paid sim in my life.

@Spooked: that's ok, I was just abit taken back as I know.

  • Telstra free sim
Just a warning if you buy $2 Optus sim you will most likely be required to recharge it with a minimum of $10 to activate it

    • I had a 5 dollar Optus recharge and it let me use that.(even tho it said min of $10)

(only get 6 days to use oddly)

Got a free 10 dollar Optus sim from woolies today which made up for the lack of the free activation on the $2 ones.
      (woolies rewards offer btw)

  • Get a $5 aldi sim. It comes preloaded with $5 credit valid for 12 months.

Why do you you want to include your everyday mobile? Is it a work phone? Genuinely curious

BTW username checks out, assuming you are paranoid about yahoo

After all the hacking, no one should be opening new yahoo accounts

  • Why not just open another GMail acct??

  • Well I gave up. Bought a Telstra SIM for $2 and they want me to sign up go or a plan. Good number too. :/
