  • WIll this work in Australia ?

    • Yes. Xbox One games are region-free.

  • Does anyone know if I'll be able to play this on PC using xbox anywhere if I buy this physical game or should I be looking for a Digital download?

    • +3

Fairly certain play anywhere games are only for digital titles.

  • Warning: this game has come under a lot of criticism for its Lootbox/crate style of upgrading, and its deception of people who bought the 'vip' pass. They changed the benefits of purchasing it without changing the information in the Microsoft Store, only after getting called out on it did they do something.

There are no Toyotas due to licensing agreements, and they were pretty lazy with the game itself. Here are the most common complaints:

    • Cannot customize the appereance of Forza Edition cars, such as stock rims or spoilers or removing the widebody kit. The only customization available, if any, are the standard Forza aero bits.

    • Many, MANY visual glitches on all cars. Unmoving active aero systems, texture bugs, headlight and taillight bugs, invisible rims and wheels, incorrectly modeled interior elements.

    • Front wheels do not turn in replays. The whole car just magically glides around corners.

    • Many of the supposed 2017 spec race cars are just previous years' race cars with a new livery and have not been updated with the correct bodies.
Take the Nissan Altima for example. This is what it's supposed to look like: https://i.imgur.com/B8LRAom.jpg
This is what it looks like in FM7: https://i.imgur.com/w92HQhi.jpg
Note the incorrect rear spoiler and rims.
What's funny is that the 2017 car was modeled correctly in FM6: https://i.imgur.com/aQfIWYr.jpg

    • Homologation completely limits customization, even just for aesthetic appearance. 90% of aftermarket rims will break homologation PI limit for most cars with no way to bring the PI back down even with max weight added through the rollcage, and stock components for everything else (not all cars have restrictor plates).

    • The garage is too damn dark.

    • Difficult to navigate menus with mouse and keyboard. You're forced to confirm selections (car, paint, upgrade parts, etc.) with Enter. Mouse click does nothing.
You also can't move the camera around with the middle mouse button anymore, it can only be rotated with right click.

    • The exhaust notes for most V12s, Ferrari's especially, are just straight up bad. Here's a comparison with previous games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLHOwXLsnCo

    • Particle effects, like smoke, dirt, and water spray, are clipping through solid objects even on PC with ultra settings: https://i.imgur.com/mzsYDJd.jpg

    • 2D trees in a 2017 game…

Heres a thread explaining all of them: https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/73z2ic/forza_7_compl…

I bought FM7 ultimate edition using the Russian Microsoft card workaround and got it at about regular standard edition price here in Aus, and I still regret buying it.

Edit: Oh and if you were wondering about the graphics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFzM7NIOZB8

    • i would concur with a lot of this. The made this game a lot worse than Forza 6, I'm not saying it all lootboxes but its not the Forza we had not more than 18 months ago.

I'm suspecting there will be big time economy and major changes due to lashback so there's not much point playing now.

  • For those who dont know, this is the lap racing game. The open world game is Forza Horizon.
