Not really; see my comment below, but tl;dr they're music production headphones and have a very "flat" sound.

No; these are studio monitor headphones, for music production.
I have the 8400s, they're an extremely good set of headphones for their intended purpose. These are monitoring headphones, for music production work. They give you a very "flat" sound, without too much bass or treble. They're designed specifically to sound "accurate", rather than "good". If you're just buying something to listen to music/TV/whatever, these are not for you.
If you are buying them for music production though, I fully recommend the 8400s (I've heard they're a lot better than the 6400s, but at this price those are probably a good deal too). They're very comfortable and have a very clear sound for a pair of headphones. The only drawback is if you're wearing them a lot, the pads can wear out. I've gone through two sets in ~5 years, and now I can't find a supplier to replace them.
Walked into the store this afternoon - had heaps of pairs left. Seems to be $79 on the website too.
