Extra 30% off all shoes on sports direct. Ordered a few Nike's for the family. Ordered 5 pairs of shoes with budget shipping only around $15. I added a few things outside of shoes and the shipping went up by a bit.

Tip: pay in £ GBP 'coz SportsDirect prices in AUD assume GBP1 = AUD2, but current exchange rate is approx GBP1 = AUD1.7

    • Was just about to say this! Annoyed because I didn't get on with it so the cheapy throwaways I was going to buy sold out in my size!

Also, P&P is cheaper in UK converting via 28 degrees over paypals own rates (saved another couple of % there too!.

      • My choice of card is Citibank Plus account's Visa Debit.

    • how do you pay in GBP? In the payment screen/paypal screen?

      • you gotta select currency from the top left corner of SportsDirect page before adding to cart

    • Great tip!

When i see a few of their regular prices i wonder who screwed the Aussie market that bad that we pay a so much higher price.

blame our population, if you have some sense for business

      • but still I think our GST bill up most of the things locally but not oversea ?

      • Blame Gerry and his desire to maintain ridiculous profit margins to ensure his otherwise non viable business model maintains artificially floated until he dies to save face!

  • Any adidas ultra boosts?

  • Shipping is a deal breaker…any free shipping codes?

    • +1

couldnt find any current ones unfortunately

extra shipping cost of 15.98 killed this deal for me

7.99 Sterling converts via 28 degrees to $13.42, and split between 3 (or more) pairs of shoes, it's not that much per pair.

the 50 sterling shoes compared to the AU$100 same pair worked out a further $11.20 per pair cheaper paying in sterling and letting 28 degrees convert it.

  • No Ultraboosts? : (

  • i bought 11 pairs of shoes for the whole family, $53 dollars express shipping. it's still a lot cheaper. if just buy 1 or 2 pairs, then it's not worth it.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered a Nike Mercurial X Victory VI Mens Indoor Trainers for 24.79 GBP or 41.4 AUD delivered using 28Degrees Card. Great price compared to cheapest local stock.

  • Sport direct is not that cheap as before, I bought few stuffs from them before.

  • Damn it! Shipping completely kills this deal, hope someone can dig up a free shipping code …

  • I don't understand whenever I try to click on Adidas it always tells me something goes wrong even with the clothes. Seems like they can't sell in Australia?

    • -1

      You're not getting the hint.
Adidas, like most brands, protect their regional market price, rather than operate in a fair manner with a singular global price upon the global market.
It's why Gerry bitched until the government brought in local market protection legislation in the form of a tariff/tax to make us pay what he wants us to.

  • Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 on this site is $230; where on Rebel Sport they're $180.

    • They come down to $161 with discount

      • +2

Yes; it would appear I have a skim reading problem. Didn't see that the discount was applied at Checkout.

If it was $120 I'd consider; but for $10 cheaper (after shipping), I'd rather buy off a local store.

        • Wonder if they will come down to $144.00 at Rebel with 20% off deal coming up this weekend.

  • Does anyone know how long they take to process and dispatch the order?

    • +1

It's been quick when I've bought from them in the past.

      • Thanks. It was processed about 30 hours later. Now waiting for the next step - dispatch.

  • What's the widest Nike shoe? Pegasus?

  • +1

the hack of changing the irl from "au" to "nz" but still get charged the same monetary amount (but in NZ pesos and taking advantage of the exchange rate) has been patched. :(

the Airwalk Breaker Mid Mens Skate Shoes are great at $50. but then less a further 30%

also Donnay 10 Pack Socks from $6

  • Thanks OP! Found the kids running shoes that I wanted to buy at half the price.

$110 rrp, $80 on sale and now I got 4 pairs averaging $40 a pair after paying for postage. Literally buy 1 get 1 free.

  • Well, just had my first of the "customer services" emails telling me one item cancelled as now OOS, they've taken all the money though so don't know how that'll work!

Will see how these orders progress!

They're even still selling the shoe in the size they claim they've sold out of!
