Hi I recently joined AIA to get the 50% off virgin active membership as detailed here:(https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/296117) and I noticed that they have an Offer for $0 activation fee for the gym membership until 31st of October.

Signed up for RAC Income Protect for $7.90 every 2 weeks to get access to AIA for free.
My Virgin Membership went from 31.95 to 18.98. Overall saving $18.04 every 2 weeks($469 yearly) with added bonus of income protection.

Can only see the offer AIA website if you are logged in.

    usually 130$ or so joining fee. also not mentiones is the free health check for aia members which is normally 39$

  It is also possible to get AIA membership from myown.com.au, which is AIA's new health insurance brand. It is backed by GMHBA, there was also something in one of their earlier press releases about GMHBA members being able to get AIA membership, but it seems that hasn't come to be yet.

    Yeah I was an existing member and didnt need to do anything except provide my AIA number to Virgin.
