Soon we will start seeing more and more Amazon deals on here once they open their warehouse next month or so….

    • +16

I'm so tired waiting. I'd rather not hear any more speculations!

    • Expecting them to launch this year opens yourself up to massive disappointment.

    • -1

$150 minimum spend…?! very high compared to Shipster by APost @ $25

  • +4

Is this only for Amazon branded products?

    • +2

      Nope only items Amazon ships….

    • More like sold and shipped by Amazon.com; i.e. sold by, stocked / fulfilment by Amazon.

  • +2

But many items do not ship to here

    • +1

Yeah I am seeing that too….

    • +10

use this link to search for products which ship internationally
      https://www.amazon.com/b?node=230659011

      • +5

Even products inside that link don't ship to Australia :(

"This item does not ship to Australia. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally."

        • +3

You have to click on each 'Other Sellers on Amazon' and find which one actually ship to Australia.
          I found that quite annoying.

          @nbn:

Ehhh… I think I'll just wait until Amazon Australia is up and running.

    • I've noticed many more brands wont ship to Australia. Starting to think perhaps more brands and products will be blocked too, when Amazon Australia opens, forcing us to buy from the Australian site at prices more expensive than the US/UK etc site.

  • +2

Used it twice this week, saved $100 AU shipping on each order. Posted only after testing.

    • Hi pizzahut, I was just wondering how did you find out about this deal? I am just asking because I would like to be informed when a deal like that (free shipping from Amazon.com) comes up. Thank you

  • +25

Anyone willing to share what they are buying? I need to buy something I don't need so i can get free shipping..

      • I tried ordering the sports shorts but couldn't get free shipping. Am I doing something wrong?

        • +1

You have to select the correct seller. There are multiple 3rd party sellers, it must be amazon who you add to cart from. so on the right click:

          "Other Sellers on Amazon"

          "New *** from $ **. ** & FREE shipping on orders over $25.00. Details"

Then select the sellers/sizing options colours.

Also after trial and error, it seems that this only works for some and not other items even from amazon themselves. I have used it for both of those example items though.

I find their business trousers to be quality and cost effective - Hagar brand. Best thing is you can choose the length and the waist; something sadly lacking in our department stores which only give you the choice of ‘Regular’ or ‘Short’ leg. Tough luck otherwise.

These are my go to business shoes. They last ages and very comfy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00335I2J0/

For those needing slim fit trousers, these are also my favourite. Range of sizes and lengths and the material has a good thickness:

      &

Lastly, again for us slim fellas, these Henley t-shirts are great:

I just find it so much easier to buy at Amazon for a variety of reasons but mainly due to the wide range of sizes available compared to the limited choices we have here in stores.

I hate how hard it is to buy items only from Amazon sometimes.

  • Amazon have a few samsung ssds on special but it seems like Amazon limit what types of ssds they will send here

Guys/Gals use this Chrome extension called "Does Amazon Ship to …?" Gives you a button to press on the item page which tells you if it ships to Aus from multiple sellers. Been using for 6 months, very good.

    • +7

It'd be great if Amazon could just fix their crap so, at least on the product page, it gave a definitive answer. So many times I've added something only to get told at checkout that it won't ship to Australia.

  • Yeah, this isn't actually that new as it's been around for a while now :) Even though they've stated 'Limited time only' I saw this a few months ago.

  • +1

So if an item is sold by someone else but fulfilled by Amazon, it isn't eligible, right?

    • Indeed not eligible for prime items sold by 3rd parties.

  • +1

I can’t seem to get the option for free shipping. Any ideas? I made sure all items are from amazon directly.

    • +1

      1) Not all items from amazon even ship to Australia.

      2) For some reason at checkout it sometimes splits the items into 2 shipping categories.

Only one of the categories will have an option for free shipping once the total for that bunch of items hits $150 USD.

I dont know why it is like this, maybe amazon didnt mark some clothing items as being clothing so it doesnt realise they are eligible. :(

It takes a while to figure out the system, but it is worth it when you save on the shipping for the items it works on.

      • +1

        Ok thanks. Figured it out.
Like you said, some items even though they meet the requirements, still do not have free shipping. Just need to chop and change items to find the correct combination.

doesn't seem to work for me.

    • Is that USD or AUD? If AUD, you might be just shy of $150.

      • Is pricing display in aud?
Website has ship to Australia option, but can't see currency

        • I would also like to know this. $150 minimum can be assumed to be USD. But is the displayed price on Amazon.com USD too?

        • You can choose at checkout to be charged in AUD, so you dont receive an international charge from your credit card since Amazon themselves will process the payment in AUD.

A nifty trick to see that it works is to just change the quantity of the item group your after to a high amount so it will definitely be above the $150 USD threshold and see if a free shipping option appears in the shipping speed at checkout.

  • Bit annoying that Levis are shown all over the link, and none ship to Aus :/

    • I think for some companies they have an agreement not to ship to Australia. Levi's seems to be one of them for any items shipped and sold by Amazon themselves.

Also a couple more name brands have this :(

  • including amazon japan?

  • +2

Just came to remind you all that amazon is coming!
Don’t forget to sell your retail shares.

    • +3

The retail clowns in Aus have no idea how ready and willing we all are to throw them under the bus for cheaper stuff, they have gouged us for long enough, LET THEM BURN.

  • +1

Added items to the cart based on Ship to Australia and Free Shipping options from the menu. From checkout, shipping cost gets added even though all the items are eligible for free shipping(all default slow shipping options selected). Interestingly, when tried to change items, those where eligible earlier becomes ineligible Wasted my 1 hour+ for free shipping.

  • What i understand over 150usd. Try to get a watch.

Bought a new season of Nautica branded clothing (35+ items - tops, bottoms, sets etc) for our two sons for ~$200USD (~$265AUD), saving 170USD in shipping. Thanks!

    • Tax free too :)

  • Does this free shipping apply to Amazon Japan?

  • I've been informed on Amazon Live Chat that this offer has expired but it seems to be working still for a few items.
