        Its in the post

        • I must be blind haha. Missed it

    • +2

Didn’t neg you but what’s your idea of a good looking running shoe lol

      • -4

I expected negs, but again this is my opinion. I like the look of these and purchased recently - https://www.decathlon.com.au/p/men-s-running-shoes-saucony-t…

        • +14

These fluro yellow shoes are definitely much better looking. /s

          • -8

@ShanoDD: Theyre actually mostly white, each to their own. I think they look much nicer.

            • +5

@eggaz: This is what loneliness looks like. Finding deals on ozbargain. Saying you don't like the look of the product. Trying to get into a conversation about shoes that you think look nicer. Not really shoes that are at a good sale price, mind you. Just, you know, a pair of shoes that you think look nicer…

              • -3

@garworsby: True, nothing says loneliness like sharing thoughts online, of shoes in a shoes thread. It's good thing we’ve got you here keeping the community warm with judgement and the conversation going.

              • @garworsby: That's just rude
                Eta, wrong reply

        • I don't especially love the Brooks here, but in comparison those are horrific. Fluro yellow highlights? Maybe if i was 14.

Imagine thinking runners buy shoes to impress people instead of, you know, actually running in them 🤯

      • +1

There are a certain subset of runners that are into the running gear ‘drip’

        • +1

subset of those people in every area of the world, complete losers that don't do the thing for the right reasons

      • -2

You're thoughts immediately assume we buy things to impress others. I buy things that I like. This is my opinion, the shoe is ugly, and I wouldnt buy it. I would buy a running shoe I like the look of, and that ticks other boxes too.

        • +1

          Do you run regularly?

          • -3

@end user: Not a regular runner, but a regular fast paced walker, for fitness.

            • +3

@eggaz: A regular fluro yellow fast paced walker. lol.

              • -1

@ShanoDD: Absolutlry, and to think I could have been a lonley regular ugly black and blue shoe wearing fast paced walker. What a missed opportunity ;-)

      • Agree it's wild. They only last a few months then onto the next pair. If I didn't buy the cheap colors it would be rather a lot more expensive haha. They're always wild. Whatever!

    • If you're actually a runner then function over looks every time when it comes to shoes.

  • +12

Shame there is no wide foot available.

    • +2

yeah was excited for a second

    • Got the wife the last pair of 9s in a wide fitting, but they were $129 - still well priced.

    • Thanks, saved me a click

  • +1

Size 15 in stock. Thank you OP. Have a good Christmas.

    • Whoa, you must have a huge…… pair of socks to go with those feet 🤣🤣

      • +2

I'm size 12 and can assure you foot size does not equal kransky size 🥹😭

  • Ghost are great for wide feet, rocking my 17's that were a birthday present.
No wide here unless you are an 8.5

  • Perfect… Love Brooks Ghost

  • Nice find, many thanks OP!

  • Cracking price, my go to shoe, have had issues with the top of heel padding failing to quickly but such a great all purpose running shoe otherwise

    • Me too with heel cup padding failures. Not sure what I do but that’s how most of my running shoes die.
I’m also a ghost fan. Somehow suits my running style nicely.

  • How do they compare to Asics Nimbus? Similar style?

    • Nimbus is probably one grade above Brooks Ghost. This is more similar to Asics Cumulus.

      • -1

        How about GEL-PULSE?

      • +1

How’s it compare against asics asparagus?

    • +1

They are pretty different. Numbus is more a cushioned run and more catered to easy runs, the Ghost is the jack of all trades well capable of long runs while being responsive enough for speed workouts too

      • But arent they heavy for what they do? I have the cliftons 8 and thought will order these, but after seeing video reviews, cliftons series seem better than these?

        • +1

For an all purpose runner? No not too heavy. I'd give the Ghost a go at this price if I were you, if you do speed work you should find them better than the Cliftons, especially if you are a heel striker, less cushion than Clifton but more energy return

          • +1

@donkcat: Ordered a pair. Lets see how it goes. I already have 5 more pairs to wear out.

  • -3

They look ugly. Something you'd buy in 2017

    • +7

good lord do I miss 2017 running shoe aesthetics, better than the ridiculous giant puffy cloud sole look on everything in 2025

      • +3

I much prefer old-school style shoes. Ask any podiatrist about the new type and design

    • -2

You don't pick running shoes for looks, all about performance.

  • +1

I run in the Ghost 14, size 10 wide (2E).

I tried the Ghost 16 in the same size (10 wide 2E), but it felt too tight. The Ghost 16 in size 10.5 wide (2E) fits comfortably.

Unfortunately, this website doesn’t offer the wide (2E) option.

I’ve also tried the Ghost 14 in size 11, and it feels comfortable. I run in the Glycerin 19 size 11 as well, both in regular width.

Given that, which Ghost 16 should I get, size 11 or 11.5?

    • +2

My ghost 15's were the same, Size 14 2E width, then I bought a new pair of Ghost 16 and Ghost Max 16 last month they are not the same width at all, too narrow despite being same size 14 2E width

  • Thanks! Purchased 👍

  • Cheers. Excellent shoes.

  • +1

Can anyone speak to the stability of these? Looking to buy one for someone who won't be running, just walking and standing at work.

    • I think they are neutral shoes, so not for those explicitly looking for stability. They're probably great for walking and standing though!

    • I wore a pair of brooks ghost 14s for a 5 month trip to Europe. Walked around 15k steps most days. They were awesome.

    • I’ve been walking about 160km/month in Ghost 15’s & 16’s for the last year or so.

Unfortunately the width & colour I want isn’t on sale :(

Though I did buy the Ghost 16 GTX for $220 last week, I’m glad they’re not super cheap here either

  • Bought the last size 14 - so lucky.
I have worn Ghost 14's for the last 4 years, they are pretty solid.
Was hoping for a sale as my 2nd pair is now starting to wear pretty heavy after so long.

    Cheers :)

OP, just want to say your Fashion Lane website seems great. Keep doing what you're doing!

  • Need a deal on some Asics Kayano's OP.

  • Didn’t have my usual size for gym shoes so going to try a half size up. I’ve heard this can sometimes work for runners. Fingers crossed!

  • purchased, thx!!

  • Stability shoe would be good op — maybe the saucony guides 👀

  • Love your website, I use it regularly!

  • Do they accept returns at retail stores?

  • Another pair of running shoes for under $100…sold!

  • Wish I knew how brooks fitted compared to my almost worn out ASICS us10.5!

    • Why?

      • So I would know which size to buy in brooks that would be comparable to my ASICS in fit (i.e do they run true to size etc)

    • +1

If it helps, I have flat feet and I find ASICS, Brooks, Saucony and New Balance all pretty good/comparable fits for me. Nike/Adidas/Hoka are all extremely narrow to the point I just avoid them altogether.

  • +1

Lame.. I'm always a 2e wide, not available.

Though my first pair of brooks were perfect, the next pair (2 generations) actually had an awful insole and hurt the ball of my feet - replacement insole helped immensely but it's always interesting to see changes in generations not promising it's still your go-to shoe.

I recommend people always try shoes on in-store, though my issue with my ghost … 14s? Or 13s? I forget, wouldn't have been noticed in-store unfortunately (and in fact, didn't get noticed). It was painful enough after 30+mins I took them off lol. Now I use them only for gym (with the new insole) as they're more neutral vs the comfort shoes I use for walking (Asics Gel Kayano 30? I think)

  • Love my Brooks. I wear them everywhere. I’m a 6E/4E width guy, so every time there’s a sale like this I just sit in the corner crying into my extra-wide shoes. Still waiting for the day they bless us big-footed folk with a decent deal!
