Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB Tunable Gaming Mouse $71.20 PICKUP at JB Hi Fi

90

JB Hi Fi are doing a gaming accessories sale and after a quick bit of research, I found that this was a cheap, good quality solid gaming mouse. $71.20 if you do click and collect. Just bought one myself.
Cheapest price on Staticice is $77.94 and you'd have to pay shipping from QLD.

  • I got one of these from JB last year for $65. But I'm not too happy with it. The opening where the weights goes in is located where the thumb rest it. I've opened it countless times while playing and it messes with the sensor. I've since put a bit of electrical tape to just hold it and it's resolved the issue….

I'd look for something better than this if you're in the mouse market. (Been a big logitech G5 fan for a long time)

  • I've a collection of mouse from old days including MX500 till latest ones both wired and wireless (excluding G900 series) and so far Highly recommend G703. Got it $79 binglee last week and extremely happy with its performance

  • Grabbed one of these for around $75 at one of the last eBay sales. I'd recommend it. It's probably just my hands, but the "sniper button" sits a bit too far from my thumb to get any real use. Apart from that I'm very happy with it

    • This, to some, is a good thing. I use the g-shift (sniper) button like an ALT key, with the up + down buttons being volume adjust and then being DPI adjust when holding the g-shift. I'd rather not be able to accidentally press it.

But I use this more as a desktop mouse than a gaming mouse. I just bought a 2nd with this deal as I will use one as a work mouse

  • Meanwhile here I am, desperately holding out for a wireless G602.

    • Do you mean the old G602? the one with 250 hour of battery life? i use to use that a lot but sold the last two i had, thinking of getting a wired mouse, why wouldn't you want to upgrade?

NOTE: Do you know about the G603?

      • Huh. Yeah, that one. Guess wireless want what I was holding out for. Maybe it was an upgraded sensor? I dunno. Might just get one anyway then.
The G603 looks nice enough, but the appeal of the G602 to me is the number of buttons. I've got a (wired 🙁) G403 which is good, but just shirt a few mappable buttons IMO.

        • Thinking about it, it might have been that I wanted Bluetooth, rather than a USB receiver.
