Can some one provide list of places participating in Amex shop small and also accept myki top ups
Let’s update this with list which people have successfully used this year ?
Map and last year list may be a guide but most have changed and may refuse to accept this year

It is very tricky in Mel since not all newsagencies do Myki top up.
Some might even have done in the past but recently scrapped it, which renders the map somewhat useless.
Both of these newsagents from the above link don't do myki top up

There are about 3-4 places in close proximity on Brunswick St Fitzroy (all charge surcharges) and I'll try them and report back

Went there today. Actual name is Brunswick St News on the receipt. 60c surcharge. Got an email confirmation with Fortune Fortune P L.
Also I'm not associated- that was an accident. 60c surcharge at the last one. All others, no surcharge. The lady had a bit of a laugh, apparently I wasn't the first today.
Thanks again BadMotivator. I've got 12 cards and would like to top up $20 Myki using each one, how many did you use and did the stores (if any) kick up a fuss about multiple cards? If so then I might just use one card a day at each store, over the whole month :P
I have two cards and I only used one per store. I'll need to repeat my run at some point.
Ah, thank you. Yeah I don't want to get death-stared and/or publicly humiliated when asking if I can recharge $20 multiple times using multiple cards!
Now to sit back and see if the refunds actually work for Myki transactions this year……
I've updated the Myki Wiki as well as the Google Map based on this thread and the main deal. Keep up the comments especially as last year some place increased surcharges during last year's campaign.
Malvern Authorised Newsagency still take it this year with 3% surcharge. ($0.60)

Foodworks got no surcharge for the first card but once I took the second out she demanded $1 surcharge for the second transaction.
Myki - The Summit, Southbank. First two cards surcharge free, $1 thereafter. Just topped up today

@csozb: I’ve done two cards on two separate occasions, I give them my myki and say $20 on the paypass, both occasions I had my card flipped on the non logo side so they couldn’t tell…I was 50/50 on weather they would do it so I figure ignorance is bliss.
I have a couple of cards left to do but if they really aren’t taking Amex for myki I won’t bother…oh well

Special mention to Summit - lots of Amex advertising and even a shop small sticker at the register
went to Summit, but only first 2 cards are free.. 3rd card onwards $1 surcharge each

I saw you using your 2 (?) Explorer cards to top up Myki as I did the same.

Hey everyone, obviously all the Myki Shop Small topups that we all did added to our myki money balance. However, is it possible to convert this to myki pass?
AFAIK, you can only get a myki pass outright at the station or via a machine, but there's no option to pay for a myki pass with myki money.
Does anyone have a workaround?
If you are in MEL, there is a newsagent in docklands, sadly the name escapes me now 🤔
I found it via the shop small map, so maybe give it a go…
