Excellent speaker for an excellent price! Got ours for ~$175 from the Myer eBay deal earlier in the year

    • it was great when first released many years ago, now only average for the money. just search reviews.
      better spend your money elsewhere

      • Boo! Totally disagree. Best.bluetooth.speaker.ever at $250 and under. I own jbl, xiaomi, Logitech, Sony and this is by far the best I have heard for.the price and size.

        What recommendations do you have?

        • +1

I've got this, small Logitech $15 one, Logitech X300, and prefer the $15 Logitech as it's so light and small and not that much inferior to anything else. Depends how and what you are listening to and if you are moving around with it. Obviously you get what you pay for.

Hk onyx for 200 Australian pesos. The Bose is just a muddy mess. It gets good "bass" for its size but its muddy as hell if you haven't heard better

        • no models for your speakers, you only compare with what youve got, not whatre available on the market.

        • Thanks for this comment. Good to know a recommendation from someone who owns all the top brands.

        • @Andweeb:
only jbl and some newer bose models in many top portable lists. just google for yourself to see it or listen to the side by side comparison.

        • @krisspy: Would hate to think of what you think about the UE Muddybooms if the Soundlink Mini is muddy :D

the best Bluetooth speaker reviewer period.

Is this the best for the price? Is a new Bose model coming out soon?

    • This is EOL (says the staff at my local Bose Store), there won't be a revision to it. I hope they are wrong

      • I like this style. I dislike the new "revolve Style".

I been looking for 3 days for a Bluetooth speaker that's good quality. I'll get this one.

    • This product has been replaced by the Soundlink Revolve and Revolve+

    • +1

I think the Bose Soundlink Revolve is the latest Bose bluetooth speaker. More expensive than this one obviously but not sure how it compares to the Soundlink II in terms of quality.

I have the Soundlink II and at it's current price, I think it is very good value. I bought mine earlier this year for $190. It is an amazing little speaker and you can connect it to 2 devices at a time. It was made in 2014 though so may be slight outdated but shouldn't matter if it's just for personal use at home.

  • Great speaker. Hoping they bring out a version with google assistant soon.

  • Um, so I literally just bought one this morning from the microsoft australia ebay store when the listed price was $229.. Do I have any recourse in getting the difference refunded?

    • I believe you can return it or just contact them asking for price difference.

      • No dice on the price difference "because of the system limitations", can't get anything more than canned responses back from microsoft, and they took their sweet time getting back to me as well, so by the time they had, the minis had all gone, so I'm SOL.. Really disappointing, I know it's only $17, but can't help but feel gypped when the price change was so soon after I had purchased, and I also shouldn't have given them the benefit of the doubt and just purchased a second one, cancelled the first one when I first saw this >:(

One of its kind — worth a buy

      what makes this one different?

      • +2

        Compact size and amazing sound

    • +1

Have to agree. It's sound quality is amazing for the size. It's a steal at this price even if it's already a few years old now.

  • +1

I think it's not worth it to buy standard bluetooth speakers what with all the Google assistant ones that will be flooding the market in the next few months.

    • The Google assistant ones as far as i know do not have portable batteries, but the Bose Soundlink can be used anywhere with the built in battery.

      • Some of them do, e.g. JBL Link, Tichome.

I feel like the JBL charge 3 goes harder than this!

  • Anker Soundcore Boost was around half the price on sale a few weeks ago through AliExpress sale. Still waiting for it to arrive…

    • I got the same one. Arrived yesterday. Not very impressed. Saw very positive reviews in Amazon. But, nothing special. Liked the Sony xbass or something in Cosco better. Disappointed.

  • I paid 275 for yas 107, its loud and clear. But not portable. I think value for money its heaps better than this speaker.
