New CC help and maybe some helpfull info for you

Hi Ozb,

So I am in the market for a new CC, having recently had the ANZ Black, Westpac Black and AMEX Explorer I am not eligible for a few of the great deals. I thought I would share my findings and ask if anyone knew of anything better than my options here. Currently it looks to be the Qantas Premier with almost best Cents Per Point (ROI) and highest value return if points sold @ 1c per point.

Some things to note:

  • I have only included the liquidatable things given in the package, ie some of the CCs listed here have lounge passes but are for priority pass, so you can't on sell.

  • I did not include some of the higher end CCs because I do not meet the income requirements to be eligible.

  • Value is calculated by assuming points being sold at 1c per point take the annual fee, (plus any lounge passes).

  • FF points are either in Qantas or Velocity

  • I have probably noted something down incorrectly so don't take this for granted, as well as deals always changing go checkout the site before making your decision.

Good work. Suggest you add the westpac and anz to the table for others to examine and compare.

I will see what happens. The table was just to help myself compare so not sure.

Awesome work, can you add min income required?

    • I'll have to check all of them tonight, see what I can do. These listed currently should all be the standard 75k and below.

Nice work. I had a similar search recently but not as thorough as you. Well done

I just received a letter in the mail yesterday from NAB. Both NAB and ANZ closed their AMEX cards.

I have to find some other alternative now. Love my AMEX, already made insurance claims for broken items and free flights.

    • Yeah the NAB one is what prompted me. You can still apply for NAB before Nov 13th and get an AMEX to use until Feb. I was hoping they might have had a better deal.

The ANZ I missed out on the AMEX when I applied for it earlier this year.

  • Great stuff knobbs. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us
