These are generally considered pretty good for what you pay. Actually I'd go as far to say that I've read more positive reviews on this watch than any other in this price range.
Sorry to hear you got a dud, but I guess that's going to happen occasionally when buying cheap watches from China.

Understand your point of view. I tried to contact the seller many times but they have never replied my email. Tried to call them directly but the line has been disconnected. Stopped buying from them ever since. I mean you kind of expected from these cheap stuffs anyway but when the selling don't reply you. To me it meams they already know these are bad quality.

Id rather get a Casio F-91W for about the same price.
This is a 45mm pilot style watch, the Casio is a 35mm digital, very hard to compare.
I found them cheap here, the description says - (Watch has small dust pieces inside the glass)
But I have read a lot of the comments & they are mostly positive.

Yeh apples and oranges but that casio is like the cockroach of watches. Legendary reliability.

Just be mindful of that pointy thing protruding on the right. It hurts the back of the hand every time it slides down the wrist.
The pointy protrusion is called the crown of the watch.
It should be called a syringe.
