Number 1 all over is $150 @ my local brothel.

      • My local brothel won't do a number 1 or number 2.

Might be a good deal for Donald Trump though

    • +2

Not spam, just a really good deal.
Wouldn't you rather see revenue raised from this type of procedure stay in Australia as opposed to spending the same money in Thailand or Turkey?

      • -3

        Not spam

        Yes it is

      • +2

        Turkey

Who knew baldness could be so expensive?

    • +1

      It shouldn’t be.

You save on haircuts for starters.

    • +2

no, its the other way around. You can go bald for free!

      • -2

You can go bald for free!

Better than wasting thousands and having people laugh behind your back

        • People waste more on new toys for Christmas. This is for life and you cant even tell its been done.
If it helps your self confidence then it is money well spent.

        • @millyb:

When you've got your hair back, then you need plastic surgery, dental surgery, new clothes, better car, new house, expensive holidays, more status symbols. Confidence? Fragile!

You're not good at this marketing business and your defensiveness at the slightest provocation is rather off-putting.

          lol…

          sure we can't…. :P

What percentage of your scalp is covered by 1000 grafts?

    • It would fill in about 30 to 40mm of receded hair line (that heavily defined M that starts to form). It really depends on the individual. Things like existing hair density and the angle of the hairs are considering factors.

I too would like to know this

How long the warranty that you can provide.

    • The hair on your head falls out due to and enzyme that is within the follicle and a chemical called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that is produced because of it.
Typically that enzyme is not as prevalent in the follicles on the back of the head. Therefore the hair that is transplanted stays in for as log as the hair in the area it came from lasts.

      • Does pubic hair have this enzyme?

        • +1

          To a degree yes
and before you ask….. yes , you can transplant body hair!
When the hair is transplanted it takes on the properties of the hair in the area it is moved to.

Hence we get a lot of women coming in to have their eyebrows restored, and at the moment with the hipster trend there are a lot of young men getting their beards done.

So if you transplant curly pubic hair to someone's head that had straight hair, the pubes would go straight?

          That's seriously messed up.

        • +1

          @Scab:
Yep! and eventually it would become exactly like the rest of your hair. We are yet to do it with pubic hair but have definitely used chest hair.

Is the transplanted hair ethically sourced?

    • +1

Organic, sourced from the underarms of unshaven vegan hippies.

      • +2

        Grass-fed?

    • Yes. It is donated willingly by the owner! lol

      • Thanks. I was serious.

    FUE

Does that stand for Follicle Ultra Enhancement?

    • +1

It stands for Follicular Unit Extraction.
This method leaves no unsightly scarring and allows us to selectively choose follicles with greater hair numbers for greater density (a follicle can have up to 4 hairs)

      • +1

        You really know your hairs.

100% Aussie. All staff are Australian. One of the owners came from USA 30 years ago but we don't hold that against her any more. :)

      • !

      • All staff are Australian

I wouldn't trust an Australian. Statistics show our schooling has been going down hill for many years now…

        • Me either.

How much for a mohawk strip. I do not think I have the time for a 30-40mm plug. I need to purchase in bulk.

  • Go to Turkey, get it done for $2000. Use $2000 to get the flight + hotels + all the shit you want to buy in the Grand Bazaar.

My partner is looking into this type of procedure at the moment. This is actually a great deal considering this normally costs upward of 6 to 7k. I fortunately don’t need it yet as I’m using generic Minoxidil (Rogaine) as a preventative measure ($30 every two months) but good to know these options exist.

I had this type of procedure done about 15 years ago by the doctor who was then Australia's leading hair replacement surgeon.

I didnt want a full head of hair, but was starting to get the normal thinning up top /back of head, and hairline receding and thinning a bit at the front.

I also have a nasty scar on the top of my head from multiple surgeries.

The implants done these days are single follicle, not old style strip or " Barbie hair " plugs , like in the 70's.

I had a light amount of hair put in the front where i was thinning, graduating back into my existing hairline, my scar tissie implanted, and some fill implanted into my balding crown.

You cant tell ive had anything done.

Im now 47, and balding appropriate to my age, everything looks as it should .

Yes it costs money, and it's not for everyone, but if it is what you want, go for it.

As with anything , Caveat Emptor, and get multiple opinions before doing anything with any doctor / clinic.
