No, it is a different device. It doesn't seem to trigger my alarm, has a lux sensor, and maybe has a longer retrigger time. The lux sensor seems basically useless.
The only thing I like about this one is the stand.
You seem to be right. This doesn't seem to trigger anything other than a light. That's what the description says anyway. Hopefully I'm wrong.
