New Aeron Remastered Size B, Mineral Frame, Satin Mineral Base, without ARMS from Living Edge - Now $995 ($400 off +/-)

210

Was looking for an Aeron Remastered chair for a while, wasnt too fussed on whether it had arms or not.

I ended up buying at Living Edge in Alexandria for $995 which is a good chunk off the RRP. Specific chair (staff member over-ordered) so on clearance; not sure of item quantities.

I know the prices on the previous generation Aeron's (with arms) got to around this price on clearance, but its still a good deal as arms are really only worth around $100-$200.

Very comfortable chair.

Terrible online store though - worth noting to phone or email the store contact us page, their "enquire now" button may not be working.

[email protected] was the email address I used; response:

"Thank you for your enquiry and thank you for your patience whilst our online portal has been offline."

my FPS in PUBG jumped from mid 30s to constant 120fps after getting this chair.

    • How?

I now never miss a fast-selling OzBargain deal after getting this chair.

I hear Bluehole are banning users that have this chair.

  • The mineral frame colour looks great on this chair

    • Only difficulty will be in getting them to hold color. I guess also with a 12 year warranty; invariably something will go wrong and need replacing and if it's 6 years in I'm worried at that point of dramatic shade differences.

Graphite and darker chairs; not such an issue.

it's been 995 for almost 2 months now (if not more). Waiting for price drop on the fully loaded options…

    Until you fall off !!!

    • +5

You fall off chairs without arms? WOW

      • It's more common than you think…

        • yeah, chair arms wouldn't have helped those people. In fact, some of those chairs had arms already and they still fell off.

You can also get DXRacer/AKRacing gaming-office chairs which are also ergonomic and comfortable for a fraction of the price.

Or you can buy a Steelcase Leap with arms for a little more.

      • i’ve never manage to try on a leap before. Is it really better than the aeron ?

    • I owned a DX racer for half a year, it's not nearly as comfortable as an Aeron and the PU leather makes you hot and sweaty during the summer.

You're comparing a racing chair to an Aeron? Crikey.

My 2 cents worth:I bought 2 at the beginning of the year (one for me, one for my wife) when I needed a home office/"gaming" chair. I originally was only going to buy myself a mid priced ($400-500) chair but when I realised how good this chair was, I thought I would buy one for the missus as well (also a good way to get approval since she was getting one too!!).

When deciding, I sat in a bunch of chairs ranging from Gaming chairs like DX Racer to budget chairs like those at IKEA. The deal clincher was that my work at the time had the Aeron's and I realised how comfortable and ergonomic they are. By "comfortable", I mean that they are unnoticeable in their comfort. You sit at them all day and it is fine. You only notice them when you sit on other chairs and have to get up and go for walks, stretch out etc.

      This guy sits.

    • I agree. With these chairs, you don't realise you're sitting all day.

    • Im with you on the comfort of these chairs. We have them at work and theyre super comfy and the adjustments are silky smooth. Day and night compared to the run of the mill office chair. Would love one for home but im too tight to buy one.

    • Just wondering, where did you go to try the DX Racer, Aeron and any other chairs you tried? I'm currently in the market for a $400-$500 chair but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much without sitting in it first, and I'd like to try the Aeron so at least I can compare it to the racing style chairs. So is there a chair warehouse where you can try them all out or something? Or does each company have their own showroom that you had to go to?

If you are in Sydney, you can go to the showroom for DXRacer and AKRacing. Just google either and you will see they are based in Kirrawee.

        • Oh that's great, thank you. I've looked before but didn't know they had a showroom you could go to. I'm in Newcastle so only a couple hours drive to get there. Also didn't realise they were the same company haha.

  • Looks great and excellent price OP.

No need for arms if using at a desk, in fact they just get in the way.

Spent years trying different chairs, all the cheaper alternatives that people always chip in and say are just as good, even bought a couple. Nothing compares. Mirra is good though.

i have to sit on this chair at work 40 hours a week. I hate it!

  • Good review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbzm1CgLmMw
Its tilt function is even more limited than the classic, which I have gathering dust in a spare room because it does not tilt back far enough for my liking.

      Give you $50 for it.
