Yeah nah Target. They price jacked this by $50 on 3 Nov getting ready for this.

Big W should go $318 soon as per their price trends.

  • I was gonna say, why has it got such a high price…. (before the Promo code)

  • Serious question, is there a place you can buy a 2nd hand one that has been disassembled? I only want the challenge of building it and don't want it after that. Same with the F1 42000 model.

    • If you befriend local AFOLs (Adult Fan of Lego) and/or join a Lego fan group (search for CLUG on facebook seeing that you’re in Canberra) I’m sure some people will be willing to lend you their sets to build (goes without saying that it’s a two way street though)
I do that with the local guys sometimes with the oldish (very pricy) UCS.

    • eBay. Resale prices of Technic sets tend not to inflate the same way that Star Wars UCS and Modulars have. Especially if you pick up a used one while the set is still in production. Source? I've bought and sold plenty of SW, Modular and technic sets myself over the years.

If you had fewer scruples, you could also pick up one of the knock-offs (Lepin, Decool) on Aliexpress. Buyer beware.

      • I know I'm getting picky here but I don't want to disassemble it as they would help me reassemble! Might not have a choice though!

not a very good deal, as not the lowest price all time and the official claims this is a limited version but apparently the stores got more stocks

  • The cheapest I've got is with eBay Hobby Warehouse 20% off, final price after discount was $307.12
