Personally I have never bought anything from GAP before but for those that do, GAP Australia is officially closing down (according to their Facebook website) and now have 40-70% off sales instore.
There were massive crowds on Saturday at the Macquarie Centre store.
Been to chadstone branch, they restock items and mostly 40% discount (which is normal discount for GAP), will wait until end of year to grab good bargain

In terms of menswear, chino's, basics etc. They are decent. Bought a few pairs of chinos back in the day. They held up very well for the year that I wore them and their colours done wear out.
They did 50% off sales when they weren't closing so I would have expected at least 50%.
Agree - I thought there was 50% off last year or early this year.
From my view, the men's clothing is average at best. Can't fit into their jeans - they only do skinny jeans. Shirts are okay, but crumple easy and threads go loose quickly and easily. YMMV.

Maybe never in Australia, but they seemed to be back in 2004 in Japan.
Kind of a bummer that they're closing down. The quality of their clothing is actually quite decent and worth it when they're on sale. I'd highly recommend the durability of their clothes for kids.
