      • Sarcasm, just in case theres 1% out there don't know the joke.

    • Thanks for that informative insight, any other dramas in your life you are wanting to report today?

    Nice price.

Worth remembering that Blue Planet II will get released in the UK once the series is finished being shown, which means there is are new boxsets collections in the offing.

  • +4

Great price for the 4K version.

This is an amazing series - nature documentary film-making at it's very best. I almost fell over when I first saw the 4k images on my TV, they are simply stunning! If your looking for a 4K disk to impress your friends, this one is highly recommended.

    • +1

i can see the 4k market being a driver to buy discs again ….. 1080p there are other sources for viewing or renting.

If you mute it. Amazing footage, but they only ever speak A) the obvious B) dribble

Sometimes it's so bad it drives me bat shte crazy

      • I wonder if he makes up some stuff. Some of reeks of it bs

I remember the episode where that dude in Africa shinned up a 70-metre tree, naked, using only a vine for a rope and a machete to cut footholds in the tree. All this just to get his wife some honey. And his wife started eating it before he even got down off the tree. I hope that bloke has got a bloody divorce or he's probably broken his neck by now.

  • +3

Best looking 4K/HDR content I’ve seen. Just stunning.

  • +1

Am I being completely daft or is there no Planet Earth 2 Bluray? Haven't got a 4K TV…

I've already got Planet Earth 1…

Edit: Nevermind, here it is: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

The 4K version will work on a Standard Blu-Ray player too so would get that version in case you ever upgrade and it's the same price…so all good :)

      • +2

U sure? Didnt work on my PS4 Pro… anyway I just watched it on the XOX, stunning doco series!

        • Sorry just done some research and you may be right…please ignore my previous comment and hopefully someone a bit more clued up can help…

        • @gnahtanojmost 4k movies come with a normal bluray, maybe you got confused :)

  • Want one. Have a 4k hdr TV but don't have a 4k/hd player. Anywhere I can download this digitally and legally.

    • Nowhere to download as far as I know, but you can get an XBox One S as a UHD player - they are cheaper now that the XBox One X is on the scene. Free games console with a UHD player effectively.

    • download at 4k is HUGE ……..

  • +1

This is an obligatory purchase for any Xbone X owner

  • Is there an sdr version?

    • Lol at neggers who didn't get the humour

  • I have 4k TV with PS4 blu ray player. Which format should I get?

    • +1

PS4 doesn't have a UHD 4K bluray player… you need to stick to standard blu-ray (non 4K UHD)

      • Cheers

        • It's ironic the PS4 Pro should have a UHD-HDR player built-in, but it doesn't.
I can get the reasoning for the base PS4 (too early), or even the PS4 Slim (cheap box)… but the PS4 Pro was meant to be the no-compromise solution.

Well, now there is the Xbox One X…. too bad it misses out on some excellent exclusive titles.
I'm begging to think everyone needs to ditch consoles all-together and get Gaming PC's instead…. or have to go buy each console (Wii U, N Switch, PS3, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X) just to avoid the fuggery that's taken ahold this market.

        • @Kangal: Or just buy a 4K UHD player?

  • Nice. Was going to buy this to use on my Xbox One X

Almost got it yesterday at $30

    • Works just as well for the Xbox S? Or does the X have some 4K advantage?

      • Xbox one s can watch bluray 4k. Xbox one x is just additional feature to play 4k games.

        • Do note Xbox one S doesn't have the same capacity as a dedicated 4k bluray player though, so quality might be slightly inferior, though might not be visible to average consumers..

  • so with the "buy 2 Tv-DVD get 1 free" offer, could I just pick any DVD/bluray/ultra4k or does it have to be in the one marked with the offers?

    • yeah …. you want all in 4k, bluray 1080p you cab download.

  • +4

Need a deal on dedicated 4k bluray player! They're still so expensive!

  • I think the leaftail gecko would be extra invisible in 4K.

  • As usual, they skip Australia, but focus on every other continent. Is our wildlife just not interesting enough?
